I regret to inform you that it's one of his favorite songs, that many folks in his base use it specifically to rally under the MAGA banner, and that as far as they're concerned, "this is the music of a people who will not be slaves again" is railing against the power of Democrats and Woke/PC/DEI.

In light of everything happening, I wrote about how the KKK in the 1920s felt unstoppable, about the people that fought against them anyway, and about how fascism always fails. dansinker.com/posts/202…

Try it, dipshit

NEH introduces new prohibited categories to comply with executive orders. This is an infringement of academic freedom plain and simple, and also nonsense: what is “discriminatory equity ideology”

David Carter, who wrote the exhaustive and definitive STONEWALL: THE RIOTS THAT SPARKED THE GAY REVOLUTION, on the myths and realities of Stonewall. He offers invaluable detail about the gender and racial make-up of the crowd. gaycitynews.com/exploding-th...

I love Kieran Culkin, and he's great in A REAL PAIN. But it's not a supporting performance, and measuring true supporting performances against his is unjust. (Yes, I just saw ANORA—Mikey Madison turns out to be great for those keeping score, btw!—and Yura Borisov's performance is a stunner.)

what’s your sign?

Let's preserve the National Park Service's exceptional collection of essays, "LGBTQ America: A Theme Study of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer History." It's a stunning, far-reaching, deeply researched, publicly funded record of queer history in the U.S. Read it while you can.

Friendly reminder that "Stonewall was fought by trans women of color" is a 21st-century simplification, and probably a myth. 1/3

We will not be separated 🌈✊

I knew I'd seen this act somewhere before...

This is where you go to tell the National Park Service to restore the word "transgender" in its entry on the Stonewall monument. (Scroll down.)

The National Parks Service erased transgender people from their website honoring Stonewall. You can leave a comment on the website. Flood this comment box www.nps.gov/ston/index.htm

Oh my god. They removed "transgender" from the page about Trans woman Sylvia Rivera's page at the National Park service. "Sylvia Rivera began fighting for gay and _____ rights" WOW.

I am so pleased to see that Art Garfunkel and Paul Simon got together to say fuck you to Kanye West in that AI-generated video

God I hate that celebrity anti-Kanye AI thing that's going around. HATE. IT. Stealing people's faces to have them advertise the idea you want them to advertise is flat-out trash.

n.p. Shoshana Felman, “Turning the Screw of Interpretation” still slaps

Huge congratulations to the Marxists on the total victory tonight

Amid all the noise: this is especially vile given the number of queer kids who have to run away from oppressive home environments to survive and flourish.

“At these prices, I’m an ecdysiast!” — Benson Boone, probably

The governess in The Turn of the Screw is the Anita Bryant of Maria von Trapps

I’m officially opposed to Josh Kraft

I'm sorry, but "they took over the whole federal payments system, fired the career staff, and won't let anybody see what they're doing" is not a situation in which you wait for more information. It's a situation in which you assume the worst. There's no explanation for it other than rampant crimes.

Scientists at the CDC were ordered late on Friday to withdraw any pending publications, at any scientific journal, that mention terms such as “transgender,” “immigrant,” “LGBT” or “pregnant people.”
