www.mountainfilmalliance.org/iamf-grand-p.... Richly deserved

Historical moment! #theatrelibre

Pretty special! Paris at night #sacrecoeur

Heavenly combination

Total privilege to work with students at St John Fisher in Harrogate today. What a brilliant set of students. And Stanislavsky still has something to say!

Asura really is superb. Definite must see www.netflix.com/gb/title/817...

Quite impressive digital projection for the #Vangogh immersive exhibition. But a strangely cold experience I felt. Anyone else been?

Just like old times. Writing a short piece on #Stanislavsky and place. And only a passing reference to mountains!

Leaving work yesterday

Really enjoyed this Impacked lunch gathering of PCI @unileedsnews.bsky.social with colleagues sharing impact stories and top tips @jackiwillson.bsky.social @clp19.bsky.social @dotfinan.bsky.social

Lovely @routledge sent me a book token to thank me for my editing on TDPT. This is what I bought. #poetry

Struggling to choose how best to celebrate Burns after a cracking veggie Haggis. But think it may be my new Campbeltown

@georgepitches.bsky.social welcome!

Last TDPT ever from me and my amazing coeditor Libby Worth 😢. Good luck Sarah and James!

Thaw? What thaw? Snow still thick at Burley in Wharfedale station.

Amy Lever’s play ‘Lost Girl’ has been programmed at The Lowry in September and we’re on the lookout for a producer. (I’ll be directing, but don’t let that put you off) Application pack here: docs.google.com/document/d/1...

@leilajancovich.bsky.social hey! Follow me back!

#Grasmere looking lovely today

A sign of a hopeful 2025?

The data is in and I managed 1241 miles in 2024. Still not managed to break 1500. Perhaps 2025 will be the year

My hard work is done and I’ve completed the #whisky advent challenge. 25 different whiskies with some real belters. Think the Balblair 15 was one of the best. And has a surprise Christmas present of exactly that!

www.bbc.co.uk/news/article.... this is such an interesting read. The lost art of listening in theatre.

What a great day yesterday! Celebrating the brilliance of our Masters students and one fantastic PhD result @claredanek.bsky.social @universityofleeds.bsky.social

Our alumni get everywhere! www.leeds.ac.uk/news-univers...

Even though I’ve not used Twitter for some time I hadn’t deactivated until now. Yay!

Any one else noticed Ottolenghi’s slow withdrawal from Feast in Saturday’s @theguardian.com ? First it was three recipes, then two and this week just one!

What a great day @universityofleeds.bsky.social chairing a panel with Sherlock’s Mark Gatiss. And celebrating all the school’s history from Bretton Hall

In London and had the lovely experience of seeing a book I edited in the National Theatre bookshop

And so it begins #whisky #advent

This from my colleague Simon Kirchin Advent Calendar of Jokes. 1st December. I'm looking forward to this year's Advent Calendar of Jokes. Sadly, though, I hear that people are not so interested in Advent Calendars nowadays. Apparently their days are numbered.

Fascinating fusion of ideas in this event at PCI. Performance. Adaptation. Frankenstein. Climate breakdown.

Yesterday a story about 1k possible job losses in the automotive sector was top of the morning news. 10k possible job losses in HE was buried in the sector trade paper's coverage of redundancies at Sussex. Gov't & media refuse to recognise a crisis in HE. www.timeshighereducation.com/news/around-...

This is very well said on the skills drama, theatre and the Creative Industries develop in people, even Vice Chancellors wonkhe.com/blogs/creati...

So Other Everests is launched @kendalmountainfest.bsky.social Lovely event and a great book! Well done @jonwestaway.bsky.social and Peter Hansen.

Inspiring session from @jonwestaway.bsky.social for Other Everests at @kendalmountainfest.bsky.social And an amazing new score for Noel’s 1922 original film

Just putting a book proposal together for White Rose University press. It’s called ‘a history of mountains in a dozen objects’. What would be your object, one which is intimately connected to a mountain and also with your experience of it?

Like late autumn should be - parky! As they say up north.
