Oh my god. This is a real Tory ad. Indescribably uncomfortable.

At least we can still laugh. 🤡

Literal LOL “.. 64% of US imports from Taiwan are now exempt from the 10% reciprocal tariff, 44% from Malaysia, and almost 30% from both Vietnam and Thailand. 10% to 12% of imports from India, Korea and Mexico will also now be exempt.” 🤡

Seeing more and more of these bumper stickers on teslas in LA

Had an unfortunate race incident with my kid. Just telling kids racism is bad is lost on them. Watched 12 Years a Slave with him to show him the WHY!! He now gets why his “innocent” joke wasn’t funny. Stop expecting innocent children to understand the horrors of the past just because “we said so”

Everyone has their own priorities and no one can possibly attend to or care about every fire this regime sets. But ppl being disappeared without due process and sent to a foreign prison should fully panic everyone body and soul and I need more folks with bigger voices to start screaming about it

Keep talking about the Signal security lapse at the Pentagon. The media may have forgotten about it, but the voters have not.

The stock portfolios of more than two dozen members of Congress outperformed the market in 2024. This isn't due to luck or skill. Lawmakers can use privileged information to trade stocks while they’re supposed to be working for you. Make no mistake, it’s legalized corruption.

🔥 Even the Wall Street Journal is calling out Trump for abusing power — and it’s uglier than you think. He’s turning the government on his own former team. ➡️ You’ll want to read this one 👀

Columbia University capitulated to Trump to get $400M in science funding released. What happened? Not only has the funding NOT been released, but all NIH funding ($700M last year) has been frozen. Giving in to bullies just makes them take more. arstechnica.com/science/2025...

Democrats aren’t backing down — they’re doubling down. They just added 5 new dates to the People’s Town Hall series because apparently MAGA Republicans would rather hide behind Fox News than face real Americans. They’re scared of questions. Dems are showing up with answers. Let’s 👏🏾 freaking 👏 go👏🏻

The Friday Brief April 11, 2025 I was in a mood writing this one. A mood to brook zero bullshit from the Arsonist in Chief. open.substack.com/pub/therickw...

Every prisoner swap with Russia is like "she is a 14-year-old girl who Putin said sang 'Carol of the Bells' too aggressively and he is a top Russian spy who personally strangled a dissident to death in a London coffee shop"

"The combination of interest rates soaring amid a slump and the currency plunging despite rising interest rates isn’t what we normally expect for advanced countries, let alone the owner of the world’s leading reserve currency. It is, however, what we often see in emerging-market economies."

My God

Palantir would be my guess

BREAKING: the heroes at Susman Godfrey sue the Trump administration over the illegal retaliation against them They have more integrity in their pinky finger than these other firms that have been capitulating have in their entire partnerships And kudos to the team at Munger for representing them

Bravo to Susman Godfrey. My first reaction to hearing they had been targeted was to tell people that it wasn’t in that firm’s DNA to settle. Their late founder Steve Susman would be proud of his firm—as should our profession and all freedom-loving Americans.

Every time I read about these law firms caving I think about the sporting goods store owner in the Sopranos who got in hock to Tony and how Tony’s crew ended up cleaning out his store and bankrupting him …. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bust_Out

Here is an up to date list of Big Law collaborators along with how much in free legal services they have pledged to Trump's causes. Paul Weiss 40M Cadwalader 100M Milbank 100M Skadden Arps 100M Willkie Farr 100M A&O Shearman 125M Kirkland & Ellis 125M Latham & Watkins 125M Simpson Thacher 125M

Donald Trump has made himself—and by extension, us—the laughing stock of the world.

If you are a law student or associate who joined one of the Big Law firms that is now collaborating with Trump to do pro bono, ignore the bullshit management is telling you. Here is what Trump has in mind for you. Your spineless leaders will never say no to him.

It’s hard to think of anything he’s done in his second term that’s *not* impeachable.

Take the W. Always, always

Welcome to the Resistance … {checks notes} … Holman Jenkins of the Wall Street Journal?

When Rubio announced the agreement with El Salvador in February he touted it as a way to outsourcing the federal prison system by allowing the US to send American citizen inmates there to serve their . This undercuts the Trump administration’s claim to the courts that it can’t get people back.

I hate to say this, and it gives me the chills just to think it, but CECOT is on (and not a short way down) the road to Auschwitz.

Hope this helps.

Not a single word to help the 33m small businesses in this country. Not from anyone in the administration. So many buy from China, and don't have alternatives. So many didn't have the cash to front run the tariffs and buy inventory
