#AnSky we are looking into manufacturers of airway devices used in the UK. Could you please reply with the brands of ETTs and SADs used in your hospitals? For example my trust uses: Teleflex, Portex ETTs, and i-gels. Thank you.! #anaesthesia

Many congratulations to the anaesthetic team @gstt-nhs.bsky.social for achieving Anaesthesia Clinical Services Accreditation (ACSA), demonstrating their commitment to patient safety and excellence of care. 👏 ow.ly/quec50V3l3e @ramai23.bsky.social

Our new bottomless portafilter arrived with a puck screen as an extra. Is anyone using them regularly, and have you noticed any discernible improvement in the extraction and the coffee taste (apart from a cleaner shower screen)? #coffeesky #coffee #coffeelover

Dear @financialtimes.com most of your links on bluesky aren’t working. Started yesterday.

#AnSky, are we in trouble?

#AnSky UK anaesthesia folks. Are any of the resident research networks and / or anaesthetic departments reappearing on here? Don’t be shy - give us a wave if you’re here.

With the wider use of this drugs will we see increase in use of ETT and RSI and reduction of use of SADs? If so what will be the role of VL?

In sauropod dinosaurs the recurrent laryngeal nerve (RLN) may have been up to 28 meters long! For context: in humans the RLN is ~10 cm long in giraffes the RLN is ~5 meters long in sauropods the RLN was ~28 meters! What are the medical implications of having a single cell that’s this long? 🧵 1/

#AnSky look what I have discovered! Signed by the man himself!!

Writing a review article and reading about radioactive decay and the interplay of all the particles involved. It sounds like total chaos - everything is everywhere and interacts with everything. Hats off to nuclear physicists who make sense of this! ☢️🤯

A victory for patient safety: our case against the GMC over their failure to properly regulate Associates is now heading straight to the High Court! The Court ruled it raises serious issues of importance for patients & professionals, and he granted permission and expedition. bit.ly/AUgoahead

It’s interesting how many dentists end up working in anaesthesia! Are we perhaps revisiting the historic role of dentists, who were once called upon to provide anaesthesia for surgeons?

GMC also tells Royal College of Anaesthetists that their proposed safety standards for Anaesthesia Associates are too restrictive and might harm the viability of AAs and their training courses. Making it clear where their priorities lie, then. www.rcoa.ac.uk/sites/defaul...

@adamspink.bsky.social hello, sorry to contact via post! We are organising a human factors teaching day for anaesthetic residents in London can I message you?

Going to be there with you, but I’ll be doing airway! I guess I’ve come full circle - started with airway surgery and will be finishing with airway anaesthesia!

Well, this has to be my iciest cycle commute yet. I have never seen my bike like this…

Really cool! But unfortunately won’t work in the UK…

Looks like chess puzzle I’m going to try to crack on Friday night…

I’ll see your invitation to write a paper and raise you to an invitation to do a TEDx talk 😜
