The tide is turning. As the country votes in local elections, more and more media outlets are talking about the end of the two-party system - and openly calling for electoral reform. First Past the Post is a ridiculous voting system but its days are numbered. We deserve better.

There were two divisions in Friday's sitting, both to do with process rather than legislation. The first was a vote to sit in private. This is a way to check that the House has a quorum (40). MPs should vote no. The second was a closure motion, attempting to force a vote on the bill being debated.
