In 1933, the (bad German)s "deleted" research on topics they didn't approve of, such as gender and sexuality. Back then, deleting involved fire; now it takes a mouse click. Apropos of nothing, Mississippi just ordered libraries to delete research they don't approve of, such as gender and race.

The government responded to a court order to describe what steps they have taken to bring a wrongly-deported man back to the US, claiming that it's simply not humanly possible to them to describe those things. They're apparently unable—or unwilling—to say "We've done absolutely nothing, and won't."

SB14 removes the last statutory restrictions on same-sex marriage in Colorado. (They had been blocked since 2014 by state and federal court rulings, but the text was still on the books.) The Senate voted 29-6 in favor of SB14, and the House voted 45-14. The bill was signed by our governor today.

For the March special election to fill a vacancy on the #LakewoodCO City Council, I'm voting for Bill Furman. He serves on the city Planning Commission, and sees the anti-growth policies supported by others on the council as harmful to the city's economy. I agree with his view. (1/4)
