Every time @npr.org says Palestinians “have been killed” without mentioning who killed them, they only perpetuate the atrocities.

Hey kids! The word of the day is “Pretext.”

Making threats, widely acknowledged as the worst of all management techniques, is his only management technique.

I’ll support the primary opponent of any Democratic politician who shows up for his vulgar Despot Day parade.

DOJ GLOSSARY “Thin Air” -The substance from which charges against Kilmar Abrego Garcia were created.

I’m sure Pam Bondi knows he doesn’t dare cross her as long as she’s sitting on the Epstein files.

The Elon/Felon Feud surely will come to an end. I just wish I knew the timing so I could buy some stock right before it happens.

If you demand only the most credulous and insipid takes on the Elon/Felon dustup, the @nytimes.com has you covered.

I’m not quite sure what to make of the Elon/Felon feud, but I know this – it will be over and forgotten the moment it’s in their mutual economic interest to patch things up. Meanwhile, Russell Vought quietly continues the work of wrecking what’s left of the government.

Isn’t it weird the degree to which sociopathic narcissists are fixated on gratitude?

POTUS GLOSSARY “Policy" Mood du jour.

Who would you want next to you in a firefight? A trans soldier who had gone through hell to claim their authentic identity, or a lying drunkard looking for a scapegoat to cover his own incompetence?

Hate to say this, but we don’t reflect well on ourselves when we post a meme containing four grammatical errors in 12 words.

“Run for the border! It’s TACO Bull!”

This is about as prescient as a song can be.

Don’t expect this sudden feud between Leonard Leo and the Pharaoh to last much longer. They still need each other, although I’d say Leo has gotten more of what he wants out of the deal. Still, they’re symbiotic to the point of doing a political 69 act and likely soon to patch it all up.

The only logical explanation for Leila Fadel‘s softball interview this morning with the odious Matt Schlapp of CPAC is that @NPR.com is preemptively knuckling under to government defunding threats.

I’ll bet it’s not lost on George Santos that the only thing standing between him and a presidential pardon is a million dollars.

Need a powerful shot of inspiration? Here it is.

The White House should post a price list for pardons. Maybe base the cost on the severity of the crime. For example- Fraud: $1 million; Bribery: $2 million; Murder: $3.5 million, etc. That way, the “most transparent administration ever” could bring some actual transparency to its sale of justice.

“Depraved” is the adjective I’d use to describe an administration whose priority is to make the rich and powerful richer and more powerful, and the weak and poor weaker and poorer.

Powerful.

In a new TV ad, one NY mayoral candidate calls Donald Trump a schmuck. That raises up my opinion of him at least a couple of pegs.

I guess thoughts and prayers will have to suffice for Kentucky, Missouri and Alabama in the wake of that massive tornado outbreak. The President, for whom they voted by a wide margin, decimated the agencies which in the past would have rushed in with critical disaster assistance.

This, from Charles Pierce, one of America’s most astute political observers:

First Prize, Least Surprising News:

Did Steve Inskeep @steveinskeep.bsky.social just give Rep. Mike Lawler something of a kid glove treatment in an interview, knowing Congress likely holds the fate of NPR funding in its hands? That it would even cross my mind shows you how dangerously on the precipice of fascism we are.

Reading this, I could only think, “Here we go again.“

In one giant database, Musk and his minions are consolidating all your medical records, credit card transactions, every web search you do, every email you send, every phone call you make and your entire voting history. Totalitarianism descends on this nation like a fetid, suffocating fog.

Technology has insured there's no way to know whether anything about the song you’re listening to, be it instrumental or vocal, is real, synthesized or completely AI-generated. That applies to many videos and “live” concert performances as well.

Wow, it’s amazing how quickly Pope Leo became the new Morgan Freeman of spurious Internet quotes.

As their failures mount, expect whispers, then hints, then explicit blame of… you guessed it, the Jews. You know, those disloyal, shadowy figures who control the media, Hollywood, the banking industry. It’s as depressingly predictable as it is terrifying but that, folks, is the road ahead.
