A while back I wanted to play around with making a DNS server which can block ads in Go. It was pretty interesting, it’s super easy to run, and it’s definitely improved my quality of life, especially on mobile. I now have a UK based WireGuard Ad Block server for $12/year.

Been playing around with Postgres Row Level Security and it's pretty neat. Probably not a use case for most, but it's definitely a nice touch when working with sensitive data.

Hahaha because of course they would follow suit.

Damn ChatGPT gave a really balanced argument for QMMFs vs being invested in the market in the current climate. It’s the latter part that surprises me.

So it turns out that both the font and the music were pirated for the “you wouldn’t steal a …” advert.

I also recently led the ISO-27001:2023 upgrade at my current company, and we managed to pass the external audit with only one OFI. So that’s pretty great news too 🎉

Starting a new engineering job next week in private market intelligence / private equity. Words cannot describe how excited I am to get back into hard core engineering and out of iso security auditing, though that was super interesting and something I’ll take forward with me.

Absolutely this. Not everyone needs to scream from the hills their success.

Gold hits $3,500 first time ever, new all time high.

So I hear OpenAI want to start a new social media platform. My thoughts are: As a large language model, I'm happy to hear that OpenAI is launching a new social media platform. It’s an exciting development, and I'll be glad to contribute by supporting conversations and sharing helpful information.
