Our newest guide in the Psylab goes over the various regional forms added since Gen 7, as well as all of the "generational gimmicks" that typical stick around for only one set of games: Megas, Z-Moves, Dynamax and Gigantamax, and Terastallization!

Our guide explaining status conditions in the Pokemon series also has been updated to add information from all the games since Gen 5!

Our guide to move priority brackets has also been updated for the first time since... (checks notes again)... Diamond and Pearl?! 🫠 www.psypokes.com/lab/priority...

Our guide explaining Critical Hits has been updated for the first time since (checks notes) Gen 5?! 🧓 www.psypokes.com/lab/critical...

Not a G-Max Finale, but the Tech Dex has been updated for the moves of Gens 7, 8 and 9! 🎂 www.psypokes.com/dex/techdex/...

Our types explanation page has been greatly expanded to cover the interactions of Pokemon types with moves, abilities, weathers, hazards and Terrains from each Gen! It also lists all the symmetrical type "loop" interactions such as Grass vs. Fire vs. Water. www.psypokes.com/lab/battlech...

Here is the first new page in the Psylab in quite some time - a dynamic chart that lists all of the Pokemon that have a specific type combination (as well as the 9 dual types still not used in the series)! www.psypokes.com/lab/typelist...

Our Amnesia Attack for all 1025 Pokemon was recently redesigned to fit more of the long list onscreen - how many can you name?

And then there's Confusion, a move that neither Wizards of the Coast nor TPCi ever managed to translate correctly (usually it is some variation of "Psy Bolt" in English).

Fissure only appeared in one English card as a mistranslation, and Bone Club only appeared on a Japanese-only card. Substitute only appeared as a Trainer card, Barrage (Eggsplosion) and Transform only appeared as variations, and Mist, Kinesis and Softboiled only appeared as Abilities.

Of all the attacks from Generation 1, only three have never appeared in the TCG in any way: Acid Armor, Haze, and Struggle.

Of all the Gen 1 Pokemon that are, or at one time were, fully evolved, there is only one who has never received a holo in the TCG...

Vol. 2, issue 46 of Johto Times is now available! This week, I am sharing an interview with the classic Pokémon fansite, Psypoke! Frost, one of its admins who has worked on the website since 2002, answers my questions! Plus, the latest Pokémon news, and more mailbag! johto.substack.com/p/vol2-46

2019's Unified Minds set, by total coincidence, included GX cards of our two mascots (Mew and Jirachi), as well as a tag team of Psypoke themselves - Psyduck and Slowpoke. 💜
