I'm in the second of two regional meetings today - mere 4 hrs apart - and this one is a repeat of the first meeting's first 30 minutes. It's not even similar. It's exactly the same. Amazing. I'm pretty sure this is a new low for management in unnecessary meetings.

The worst I ever got was yrs ago before social media. I was a warranty coordinator and this guy left me a voicemail angry his stereo was taking so long to fix. He threatened to stab me the next time he saw me. When he came to get it he refused to look me in the eye. Yeah. That's what I thought.

Sometimes I get a panicked email from a client in the middle of the night. Only to see they replied to their own email going, "Actually nevermind. I got sleep and ate food and I feel better. Ignore my crazy email." My advice was going to be that they go for a walk, get fresh air. But this works.

Yrs ago I had a client try to recruit me for the NDP. Every time he brought it up, I would just laugh. Not that I never thought about political life, but because I'd rather put my hand into a meat grinder than go into politics in any capacity. And maybe that reality alone is a problem in + of itself
