Justin Trudeau has been the most important and effective person in Canada for a generation. I’m so thankful he was at the helm for Trump 1, COVID and now Trump 2. I shudder to imagine if the soulless cons were running things. It was time for him to step away but I’ll be forever grateful.

I’ve been thinking a lot about what living in a post democracy era will be like. I think weaponized social media has frayed our societal bonds irreparably and I’m trying to imagine what that means for daily life down here at street level. Mostly I worry about my grandkids world.

What is so united about the USA? It’s hard to imagine any place more divided and isolated from each other. Just call yourselves America. But in the face of this developing catastrophe, the 50 independent kingdoms might just protect millions from what’s coming.
