When you checked 3 different sources for the torque spec but still managed to break the PCV valve bolt. A bolt extractor saved the day, so there's that. I had to use piece of paper towel to keep the extractor bit from falling out of the socket.

I can only imagine that awkward moment when a parent and young child is watching hockey together for the first time, then fights break out. The fights appear to be allowed, and the crowd is cheering. Then they start to contrast what happens in other sports.

Yeah the job market is cooked and so is LinkedIn They cant even get their template engine working right. Pretty pathetic.

I dont know why Im not surprised, but still surprised at what that man said implying it was DEI that caused the crash. Can you imagine being the parent or family member of the pilots or ATC worker, not to mention the others who have died.

Best line Ive read today: "OpenAI got cooked by an actual OPEN AI"

Lived long enough to see ying yang examples happen. Extreme Left begets extreme Right, extreme Right begets extreme Left. Seems like some reason, we arent reaching steady state of balance. Me thinks it is because our society capitalizes on the extremes, click-baity posts, influencers, grifters, etc

What cringy, doofus lookin Nazi salute.

"We got the government we deserve." George Carlin probably.

I get why this post was made but why are people falling for it in terms of engaging with this post? Like anyone with a tiny bit of social intelligence know this is bad. "Killed someone for no reason! That is bad! Agree?"

Been working remotely for 4 yrs and when I gave notice that I would like to relocate outside of the company's home state, all of a sudden, my performance is sub-par. Funny how that works.

Im surprised ppl are surprised the job market in the US is such that most of the mid to senior level employees that are citizens are in management, consultant, or administrative roles. Then the ones doing the heavy lifting or more technical work are H-1B / foreign workers. Been this way 10+ yrs.

I guess one good thing about Winter is you can use outside as a refrigerator or freezer.

This large C clamp was all I had at the moment. Was huge help since these pads were under a spring load and would pop outwards.

Another cyclone in the wild

Grew up watching Robotech TV show during the 80s. Got some figurines recently. Cyclones were my favorite of all the Robotech mecha.

I like to work with both SQL and a dataframe API. I think ibis project is a worthwhile investment ibis-project.org

Bought this Casio Lineage watch about a year ago. Have to say: best, practical watch I have ever own. Not bad for a $180 USD watch. Solar and set by satellite atomic clocks. A simple, set it and forget it watch.

It's almost that time of the year for gift giving, but FR, cash is king.

I already miss the Fall weather.
