Sorry you all fell for it.

Cars have destroyed Seattle’s tree canopy.

These streets will be narrower, slower, safer, and greener. The perfect place for a Shared Street where pedestrians come first and the speed limit is 10 mph. www.theurbanist.org/2025/02/22/o...

Doing some urban hiking with @spottnik.bsky.social. #shoepic

Cars are deadly weapons.

According to Wikipedia, which has a fairly thorough but certainly not definitive article on the topic, no state in the US allows a speed limit as low as 10 mph. SB 5595 would be groundbreaking. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speed_l...

Alexis is leading the charge to defend the city against trump and is outspoken on needing more housing and better transportation options. Just sent in my $10 - it took two minutes

If the Shared Streets Bill SB 5595 passes, Seattle will need a new legend item for 10 mph streets.

When are Seattleites going to learn that anti-umbrella sentiment is a secret disinformation psy-op orchestrated by Big Gore Tex?

I'm proposing a new MUTCD regulatory sign.

Here we are on the Senate Floor Activity Report right now. SB 5595 is #10 of 41. Currently, the Senate is "at ease."

The Shared Streets Bill SB 5595 is still in motion (movement is good). It just got a proposed friendly amendment from the Senate sponsor, to the effect that a state highway cannot be a shared street. (no problemođź‘Ť)

Thank you @kirkhovenkotter.com and @transpochoices.bsky.social for your work advocating for a Megaproject for Safety on Aurora and similar highways across the state.

The Office of the Waterfront needs to be disbanded as soon as the Waterfront Project is complete. Its files need to be confiscated and archived by the SPL, personnel debriefed, and badges deactivated.

Transit-Oriented Development, Hong Kong v. Seattle.

Something I discovered in Hong Kong is that slim quarter-barrel beer kegs, arranged properly, are almost indistinguishable from bollards.
