Civil rights reform attacked segregation laws. DEI policies attack personal, "passive" biases that combined, perpetuate systemic inequity even when inequality is outlawed. For anyone unwilling to look inward to examine how bias affects decision-making, DEI is "coming for me for just being who I am."
