Yep.

Whenever you hear someone sneer about scientific research that seems useless to them — “they’re studying the spit of lizards?!” — remind them that’s exactly how we got Ozempic. globalnews.ca/news/9793403...

nothing prepared me for the existence of such disappointing supervillains

They are fear mongering.

Do the right thing. If not for the right reasons, then at least so you don't end up tried like at Nuremberg.

I certainly hope none of my so-called "friends" who voted in this absolute catastrophe has the audacity to offer me their potential future assistance given the current state of affairs. They were either too stupid to see it coming, or they didn't care. Either way, they are NOT worthy of my trust.

Could we trade him out for like, a bridge troll or something? I think a bridge troll would be less greedy and definitely better at decision making.

The government I'd essentially banning trans people from leaving the country without calling it a travel ban.

Gustavo Petro, President of Colombia, responding to Trump's hissyfit. Democrats, take some fuckin notes.

Attention TERFs: If you aren't paying attention to what is going on in the US, if it hasn't become glaringly obvious to you what happens when you define "woman" by potential reproductive characteristics, then you will henceforth be considered an accomplice to patriarchy and fascism. Full stop.

Yes. The answer is, unfortunately, yes.

I strive to throw this level of shade.

Step 1: Define "women." Make sure it has to do with reproductive characteristics. Step 2: Remove governmental protections for employment and reproductive autonomy. Step 3: Redefine the rights, responsibilities, and obligations of women so they serve the patriarchy. There are no other steps.

so what ive learned from the past few years of being alive is that transness is when you do an autism in a bad way but nazism is when you do an autism in a good little sweet boy way

Has anyone else considered that the strategy might be to deport the people who want to live in the US, then offer them citizenship in exchange for military service, use them to reaquire the Panama Canal, and then deny them citizenship? Few US casualties = greater favorability. Just a thought.

Trump said "The United States will once again consider itself a growing nation: one that increases our wealth, EXPANDS OUR TERRITORY, builds our cities, raises our expectations, and carries our flag into new and beautiful horizons." We violating the Outer Space Treaty or just waging war on earth?

Only simple-minded short-term thinkers would have pursued the potentials of globalization without realizing the end result is an inevitable global community. Influence goes both ways. When what happens in your country affects the whole world, you don't get to bitch about influence on your elections.
