I don’t know who this guy is but I liked his sign! (NYC) HandsOff

Just about the time when I thought it was going to get better …right as I learned more about adjusting my prosthetic leg and being able to walk again … just when I was feeling relieved … Covid. Still, I avoided it for 5 years. And, this too, shall pass.

This is what they really want when they say they want small government. They don’t care about your rights or your freedoms. They only want power over the people.

Vets, remember what she said about you when it’s time to go back to the polls and vote for her job again, remember what she said.

This right here is why I love the Pacific Northwest so very much.

This is my I feel like literal sh|t face. I tested positive for covid this morning. I managed to get through 6 years of the tramplague without catching it and the strap on my mask broke in a clinic lined with red capped fools coughing and sneezing into their hands and I didn’t have a replacement.

Just before 5:00 PM this afternoon, I found a denial letter that I think covers a medical procedure that I need to have done so that I can avoid using the blood thinners that are causing the bleeding in my stump that prevents me from wearing it without the bleeding that causes the pain …

… and swelling that prevents me from wearing my prosthetic leg in the first place. At the moment, I’m at a loss for what to do.

Sometimes, I feel like I’m caught in a flood being dragged along the rocky bottom of a river with only gasps of air and light in the dark torrent around me. It’s worse when I can’t use my prosthetic leg trapping me in my bedroom with nothing to do. Today is one of those days

I’ve been dealing with what’s believed to be a hematoma for about a year and a half. A recent ultrasound revealed a possible infection in the soft tissue of my stump. I’ve also had an unexplained heightened white blood cell count found in previous bloodwork. Hmmm 🤔

A few days ago I got to learn how to restring the BOA system on my prosthetic leg. It worked out just fine.

I had a long conversation with a vocational rehab counselor about the possibility of returning to work. I have problems with my BKA-R and other issues to solve first. Not sure how or where to start …

So far, I’ve had 3 predatory men hit on me trying to get contact information and location information from me. I’m a lesbian in a deeply committed relationship. I have absolutely no interest in a relationship with men at all.

@chesterjennings.bsky.social As for me, I would rather feast, fight and fornicate with the Pagan Heroes of Olde in the fiery bowels of hell, than for one moment of one day, to walk with bowed head and measured step in the hushed and hallowed halls of the one god. Go away

Blocking Nazis, trolls, and fascists doesn’t make it an “echo chamber.” People need to stop gaslighting us into thinking we have to listen to Nazis and debate trolls in order to be informed.

This unassuming piece of work is a dapping block I recently carved out of maple for my next creative endeavor. I’m going to make a set of copper measuring spoons to use in the kitchen. Other copper pieces I have planned are another but smaller spatula, large spoons, cake spatulas and a whisk

My latest creation is a solid copper spatula I made from scrap metal and a piece of firewood.

I’ve managed to find my way back to Blue Sky. As soon as I can find a way to delete twitler, I’m gone from there.

I accidentally let April 23rd which was the first anniversary of my bottom surgery and my new birthday go by unannounced due to being distracted getting my prosthetic leg adjusted so I can walk again.

Here’s the latest version of my prosthetic leg and the odd setup needed to try to mimic my left leg that was left bowed from a childhood illness. My prosthetist has been pulling her hair out trying to get it right.

The dye job for my new apron came out better than I thought it would

I’m learning how to use Pamela’s gluten free pancake mix and getting good results making a double batch with 1 1/2 cups of water instead of simply doubling the amount on the recipe. I’m also learning how to make hummus from scratch, using waaay too much raw garlic. I can’t make it fast enough

My son bought a house and found this in the wall

Tonight, we as a community honor those whose lives were taken from them by vile, inhuman acts of violence and intolerance of having been born different from the rest

Which one would you choose? The little one is a large chicken egg from the grocery store. The big one is from our Pekin duck living in the backyard

In case you didn’t know

Our little neighbor Notch had a feast. He loved the sunflower seeds
