URGENT: New York Wants to Lock Up Vital Records — Again! 😫 A backdoor proposal to essentially ban public access to birth, marriage, and death records got snuck into their annual budget bill?! And we have FIVE DAYS to do something about it?! Here's how we can stop it: mailchi.mp/reclaimthere...

Simple truth

Good Morning, Bluesky ☕️🌞

I no longer have hope in hope. Hope is not a magic pill. Hope is in the work of our hands, the courage in our souls, and the compassion of our hearts. Don't hope. Show up with love.

Building a new opposition: 1. Prioritize winning elections. 2. Big tent full with new policy ideas. 3. Build and fund pro-democracy opposition groups. 4. New communication methods and messengers. 5. Use every legal tool available to challenge Trump in court. www.democracydocket.com/opinion/buil...

This is worth reading 👍

Thoughts on Hunter pardon: - I don’t love it, but I completely understand why he did it - with everything the incoming administration is telling us they’re going to do, we probably need to stop handcuffing ourselves with standards they won’t follow - I wish it wasn’t this way

To those criticizing Biden for pardoning Hunter, holding him to the highest standards while Trump is held to no standard at all, is why we’re in this mess.

Copy and paste to introduce yourself to #Genealogy Bluesky. Years researching: 23+ Hobbyist or pro: Hobbyist Fun fact/Wildest discovery: My 4th-gr-grandmother had three children out of wedlock before marrying my 4th-gr-grandfather 😂 My niche/s: "The Watson Family of West Greenwich, Rhode Island"

I just finished reading "How France uncovered the mystery of the forbidden photos of Nazi-occupied Paris," an article @ www.npr.org/2024/10/28/n... It touched me in two overlapping places: My interest in history, and my desire to resist the forces of Trumpism.

Hi! I'm Nun Sequitur. I'm also the Queenealogist -- keeper of a fictional castle* filled with my family history. Full disclosure: I am not descended from royalty. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I'm glad to be here at Bluesky. * www.queenealogist.org
