*nervous laughter* I KNOW TOO MUCH

DYING at this email I got. Should I be ultra sassy and say "I'd love to come and speak about (insert relevant talking points) on (insert name of podcast). Does (insert time and day) work for you?" 😃

Hey @queenspodcast.bsky.social, turns out sometimes history was a box (or nest) of dicks.

Hey!! If you like history, the woo woo and having fun, you might like our latest podcast episode where we ask our resident psychic if Arthur Tudor and Catherine of Aragon ever did...👀 The deed

It's snowing in Austin! Which means literally everything will be closed for the next 24 hours

In 1963 during MLK's March on Washington only two women were invited to speak. We have covered both of those women on this show. Josephine Baker however introduced MLK before his I had a dream speech. I feel her own speech is often overlooked though.

I haven't deleted it yet but I'm not sure if I'll be returning to TikTok after this stunt. Idk what do y'all think

Pheww. I love social media, but I am so happy not to be a social media manager this week

Drink your water

I keep randomly remembering all the wacky little TikTok moments that I couldn't explain to anyone else if I tried Do y'all remember womblands? Or the chick that said ancient Rome wasn't real?

Instagram is going to keep the memory of TikTok alive by showing me videos I saw today 3 months from now.

Ok I can't be the only one who thinks it's kinda hilarious that The Village people will be playing at an inaugural event. Do they not know how gay YMCA is or???

I can't tell if this guy is hilarious or toxic, but alas. I am just a stpid wamen.

Happy Monday!

Has Mark Zuckerberg always been so outwardly sexist or is this like a new year new me thing?

I wish more places had mocktails but I also wish a mocktail wasnt like fourteen fucking dollars.

On our latest episode we discuss French revolutionary era playwright olympe de Gouges and when we got to her tragic end we discussed her pretty cool afterwards. Which we can't really talk about badass last words without talking about Agrippina the younger

New episode alert! Olympe de Gouges was a feminist, anti racist author of the French revolution. Things went great for her (don't google it) pod.link/1212155999/e...

Any other creators thinking of bringing back their dead newsletter as a way to promote your work without relying on Meta platforms?

Laughs nervously in deadline

🎶crying but dancing it's fine🎶

#onthisday in history the white ship sank and it was this whole thing. it set into motion a civil war known as "the anarchy" which George RR Martin used for inspiration when writing about the Dance of the Dragons! Oh hey! I have a video about it if you want to learn more! youtu.be/KhFuatQxJBI

Hey, people who make movies. If you're ever wondering what the female gaze wants, it is this. Jonathan Bailey in a wide leg trouser

Heading into gladiator 2. My money is on it does not pass the bechdel test 🤣

Threads or Bluesky? Which one has staying power? Which do y'all prefer?

I reallllly wish that all podcasts put time stamps in the show notes

Lakshmibai, the Queen of Jhansi, was born #OTD 1828. When the British East India Company pushed her too far, she took up the sword (literally) to become one of the leading figures of the Indian Rebellion of 1857. Listen to her story! 👉 bit.ly/3Dyupgv #WomensHistory

Where my bookish, witchy feminist at?

Pluto is entering Aquarius today. The last time it had this placement was the time of the American, French and Haitian revolutions.

In our first Elizabeth Taylor episode, we chat about her disastrous first wedding. But here are some super troubling details we didn't get to go into. 🏨 Elizabeth married son of hotel mogul, Conrad Hilton Jr (aka Nicky aka Icky Nicky) when she was 18 and 24.

Olga of Kyiv. The definition of #FAFO. When the Drevlians killed her husband (with a creative use of trees) she burned them all to the ground. Anyway, she's a saint now. #history

A member of our community posted she's directing a Six the Musical high school performance & that the girls in it listened to the podcast to learn about their Queens 1. Omg we are not for kids so... Just be aware 2. I am going to go root them on and each girlie is getting her own little bouquet

Oh hi! I'm Katy. One half of Queens Podcast. I'm obsessed with women in history, podcasting and meeting other nerds from all over the world 👋🏼 If that's your cup of tea, drop a note below on our very first bluesky (is that what we call these posts? I have no idea what I'm doing)
