I think the fear of bringing back the two-tiered citizenship convo is very valid, and also that we need to understand what the House of Commons petition site is used for. I think both convos are valid and important to have in an anti-immigrant environment with billionaire Nazis attacking us.

😂😂😂

I am less than $100 from making it to my Go Dry (dry february) challenge raising money for the Canadian Cancer Society. Any spare change is appreciated. And, donations made until Feb 28th can go to your 2024 tax year! www.godry.ca/users/brock-...

A friend notified me that I appeared on this apparently well known Instagram account called indie sleaze that posts photos from the mid-late aughts and I feel so old now lol.

(📢) MAJOR BREAKING NEWS: The Daily Beast publishes a sourced allegation that Trump has been a Russian spy since 1987 and then—possibly under some form of threat—deletes it. But in an act of unusual heroism, it left it up long enough for Wayback Machine to capture it text. Here it is (please share):

The petition is here: www.ourcommons.ca/petitions/en...

The provost said in the letter to the CSU that the meeting had "heavily masked individuals" which I'm assuming means they were scary even though they were only wearing PPE and according to the director of Campus Safety & Prevention services, PPE is allowed.

C'mon Ontario, make it so this man never bothers me again!

Hello, Bluesky. Happy Saturday. Here’s a 🧵 Yesterday, RCMP formally apologized to myself & journalist Jerome Turner for “unreasonable interference.” They’re sorry he was “threatened w/ arrest for being in an exclusion zone, detained & had his movements controlled.” ricochet.media/labour/media...

Hanomansing and CBC playing cute with explicitly fascist expansionism is great. Not a sign of subtly prepping the population for annexation at all.

Also, why isn't CBC using their domain for their journalists? Get it together CBC! They should all have dot CBC dot ca names so we know they are verified.

Ian Hanomansing isn't built for Bluesky. It's a mute/block for me.

Reminder that no matter how many Palestinian hostages Israel releases they've likely already replaced them with illegal arrests in West Bank.

Yesterday, israeli occupation forces murdered two children, both aged 13, in the West Bank. Israel specializes in killing children. In Gaza, they specialize in killing children with their parents and sometimes grandparents.

I know there's folks who've been following me a while who wonder why I go on about alt text amid the horrors but to me, it's all 1 thing. Whether it's masking, honoring trans people, providing government services to people who rely on them... it's all about empathy and community. It's all connected.

The Canadian establishment that lost its mind over a protest passing by Mount Sinai hospital has been entirely quiet over a Canadian company selling Nazi T-Shirts for the English world's most famous, out Nazi. I wrote about this and asked the question: why? noraloreto.substack.com/p/instrument...

Major adulting happening here: I bought a gigantic squishmallow on clearance while picking up my happy brain drugs.

The archetects of the US government are full blown and open Nazis and still media dance around this as if it's not clear. And in Canada, when our spy agency says that the antisemitic threat comes from the far right, CBC manages to blame Muslims and Palestinian activists: bsky.app/profile/did:...

I just started buying a weekly fruit & veg box from a company that rescues ugly produce from going to the garbage and now they are posting about how to use AI to plan your meals with their boxes. Sustainability who? 🙈

I'm certain Ford will want you to believe this has nothing to do with their government and everything to do with York. Don't believe the hype, this is happening everywhere and they won't be the last. www.thestar.com/news/gta/yor...

Even though I think it's silly to not go along the 401 and detour north, I am super happy this is finally becoming a reality!

My cat just saw herself in the selfie camera and had an existential crisis and I had to calm her down and tell her the screen people can't hurt her.
