Many people are deeply resistant to the idea that fascist strategies are in use, bc in their minds (&the mind of Hollywood) 'fascism' is defined not as a set of targeted rule but as 1940s Germany. I don't know how to convey it looks different when the country is much larger and in the age of tech.

Anytime someone says (and firmly believes) that kids are only #trans or #queer because of outside influences, I feel the magnitude of countering intentional misinformation all over again.
