It's only 9:30am and I have already fed all of the children, baked a cake, unloaded and loaded the dishwasher, and crocheted for 30 minutes. I don't trust this. Something's up.

I DO NOT have any books up in the Barnes & Noble pre-order sale, BUT! I do have a handful of cozy fantasy books that are available now, featuring a mostly middle-aged (and older!) cast, along with baby dragons, found family, and cake!

Today's homeschooling was read-alouds (Fablehaven and Anne of Avonlea), planting seeds outside, and math. This is pretty much it until the end of the year, now that half the workbooks are finished and we're just winding down until evaluation.

Pssst... Everything in my Etsy shop is on sale this week! Shop local, shop indie, buy direct! www.etsy.com/shop/Quenbys...

Ah, I see it's time for the "no, I'm not sick, the trees and grass are just trying to kill me" realm of existence.

Okay, I took a couple of months off. Back to Tiktok and Reels to see if it moves the needle on book sales at all. I'll report back.

Anyway, I just helped a buyer cancel their Etsy order for my books because shipping to Australia was A LOT and neither of us wanted them to pay that, so anyway, this is about bookplates and I will be adding them to my shop next month. So there's that.

That's it. Was bopping along happily enough in revisions, thinking this would be a cake walk, until I hit the point where I realized I need to write a whole new scene/chapter for pacing, and now I'm ready to roll up my sleeves and dig in, because I know this is only going to be the beginning.

6yo: Look, I'm wearing my backpack on only one shoulder! 6yo: ... 6yo: Is this how cool people do it?

My 15yo just told me that calculus is easy and brb I'm going to check and see if she's adopted.

A Necromancer Called Gam Gam hit 250 ratings today! A quarter of the way to 1k!

These last six weeks of the homeschool year are always the hardest. I just want to be outside and freeeee....

As we gear up towards Independent Bookstore Day (and fight against that 'zon sale coming up) a reminder that you can order almost all of my paperbacks through Bookshop.org! You can support your own local bookstore through them, even if they're not able to carry my books on their shelves!

When you make a half-assed throw together dinner and it comes out tasting so good that you feel like you could have your own show on the Food Network. (Please, no one give me a cooking show. It would be chaos.)

While cleaning out my parents' house, I found a stash of my old jeans from my teens/early 20s... all low riders, flared legs from places like Gap, American Eagle, Old Navy, and my daughters are behaving as though they stumbled upon the fashion holy grail. Vintage jeans that are coming back in style!

Being about three inches from a car accident (someone tapping at their cell phone while running a red light right in front of me) has earned me a Milky Way Midnight to calm my nerves, yeesh. (THIS WEEK, PEOPLE.)

Took the kids to a local park that has a zipline(!!!) and it was the most fun I've had in weeks and also I am sunburnt. 10/10, would zipline again.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who has helped so far! We've paid off a small bill that has been hanging over our heads since last June!

I like Mary Musgrove more than Jane Austen wanted me to #dramaticqueen #janeausten #persuasion #booksky
