Day 304, Mar 31, Mon: I love the details Powell drops in. The sneezing marine with the head cold. Makes it all seem real… and even though you might have just been to an important hush-hush meeting, the snotty handkerchief drying on the radiator brings you back down to Earth. #anthonypowelltogether

I watched a 'Peanuts' animated cartoon the other day, and was reminded that I still use several words/phrases that I picked up from Charlie Brown et al as a child: notably "good grief", "crabby" and "rats".

I'm reading a book about old English roots of the English language and just found out that 'thrall' was a word that meant slave, which remains in English to this day in 'enthralled', i.e. enslaved.
