The poem 'The Temple of Fame' written by 18th century poet Alexander Pope, includes a handwritten poem addressing Martha Blount. We don't know if their relationship was romantic but the inscription is intimate. Find this and more in the Provenance exhib, L2 Philip Robinson Library

it's another totally normal day in the countryside

The #PowerOfPetitioning bibliography is an invaluable resource for early modernists - I can’t tell you how thrilled I am to have my article included on the list! ✨

Can’t quite describe how lovely it is to have been selected as a runner up in the W&A Working Class Writers’ Prize! I’d had my doubts about whether or not I should keep going with my little plague novel - but after this I’ll most certainly be giving it a go! ✨

Some of my favourite ever sources here ✨ thank you @historians.org for the opportunity to share them!

A wonderful opportunity to undertake funded PhD research with one of the most supportive and interesting scholars I know.... #EarlyModern 🗃️
