As we marked 3 years of conflict, Arsenii, a Young Ukrainian Peacemaker, brought the impact of the war on children directly to Parliament. In a meeting with @rachelblakemp.bsky.social they spoke about the need for more education support and the release of the #UkrainesMissingBillions.

Had a great time at H/Advisors Cicero yesterday discussing balancing regulation with growth and how we can drive progress and ensuring Government investment fuels growth across the UK. As a Mission Champion i'm excited to work towards an environment where innovation thrives and all regions benefit.

Yesterday at Crisis’s Homelessness Summit, I heard first-hand accounts of rough sleeping and homelessness. With record numbers in temporary accommodation, hidden homelessness and rough sleeping on the rise, we must prioritise prevention and invest in affordable housing to tackle homelessness.

Anti-social behaviour and phone theft are major concerns for residents, visitors and businesses across the Cities of London and Westminster. Whether I'm at drop-ins, canvassing, or residents' meetings, this is the issue that consistently comes up. It's great to see the gov't taking action on this.

Many thanks to Support Ukraine for inviting me to be a part of this inspiring event. It was an honour to mark the anniversary and speak at the rally. Slava Ukraini!

Out of all the challenges faced by this government, addressing the condition of the NHS was a major local priority. One of the first actions was to provide 2 million appointments in the first year to improve the situation. We're pleased to share we’ve reached this target 7 months ahead of schedule!

Yesterday, we visited Darlington for a Treasury Committee evidence session. One of our key focuses on the committee is the acceptance of cash. It was great to have the opportunity to stop at a local market and discuss this with local vendors.

74% of people in the Cities of London and Westminster agree with the right to sick pay from first day. Labour’s New Deal for Working People will deliver the biggest boost to workers’ rights in a generation.

The ways I’ve been working to support the residents of London and Westminster this week. 🎥👇

The future of key cultural institutions like Jubilee Hall Gym, the central YMCA and @princecharlescinema.com is uncertain, due to the complex property structures in central London. It’s crucial that we come together to find a sustainable, long-term future for these vital community assets.

There is an urgent need for social housing to tackle the housing crisis. With over 159,000 children homeless in temporary accommodation, building affordable homes is critical to solving homelessness. Many thanks to Shelter for hosting us in Parliament this morning to discuss this important issue.

There's some real energy in Parliament by this week⚡️   The Government recommitted through the GB Energy Bill to put power in the hands of communities, producing up to 8GW of green, clean, community-owned energy.

Great news for Paddington and all Londoners. The design and planning of St Mary's Hospital redevelopment can continue. This is the biggest ever investment in the new St Mary's project, marking a huge step forward after years of uncertainty. www.rachelblake.org.uk/stmaryshospi...
