I'm bored. What obscure species should I make a Wikipedia article for next? Put your suggestions below

Family includes everyone! ❤️

To the receptionist at The Club lounge near gate A22 who discreetly let me in FOR FREE (even after they had stop selling day passes at 6pm): you are truly an angel and I believe in God now. 👼🪽😇

If anyone knows of the best place to nap for 2 hrs at CLT airport without having to dish out $, please hmu. It’s an sleep-deprivation emergency. Thxs.

I follow French politics a lot, as many of you know. Any effort for mass layoffs of public sector employees there would create such huge strikes and marches, the level of disruption and paralysis would be biblical.

If we all commit to the bit I bet we can get Gen Z saying “skep” instead of “skeptical.”

This sanderling I saw yesterday hopping around on one leg is was a real charmer 🥰 I watched them for a half hour and never saw a second leg on the ground. It operated like most sanderlings Not sure if they had an injury or were born that way. If any bird researchers have ideas, I can go back 🪶

Welp i guess today we learned that airplane seatbelts do actually work as intended.

Dear NSF scientists and staff: If you're looking to talk to a journalist about what's going on at the agency, please reach out (from a non-governmental phone/computer) via signal @jonlambert.12

Does anyone know what the attention spam of a rotifer is? Cos “attention spam of a gnat” is not describing me well anymore

Fun news, considering i have at least 10 individual separate domestic flights in the next 6 weeks

Sad to see rapid recent decay in rigorousness of science published in one my formerly favorite journals in our field. Just read a paper where there's no explanation whatsoever how the major phenotypic dataset used in the analyses was generated. NO word. Zero. Nada. Zilt. How does this even happen?

I lay off 63 million people a year. Then they're transferred based on performance reviews.

Any GIS folks know why this is happening? Or do these issues pre-date the renaming fiasco?

Sorry about reality. My bad.

A weird thing about me is that one of my favorite environments is a completely empty classroom or lecture hall. Whenever I enter one, I’m instantly invaded by a tremendous and pleasurable feeling of peace.

she is beauty she is grace she has melted cheese for face

You hear that??! It’s the sound of hundreds if not thousands of folks around the country simultaneously interrupting their evening family/leisure time and panickyly jumping on their computers to check if they are on some malevolently released, shittily formatted spreadsheet

Optimist: the cup is half full Pessimist: the cup is half empty Science Lab Manager: I SAID ABSOLUTELY NO FOOD OR DRINKS IN THE LAB AT ANY TIME

Around every April Fools, I tell my paleontology class these are trilobites and make them prove me wrong using the characters they learned in lab.

This is only happening because these morons don’t understand the Mercator projection
