TANK vs TESLA "We've crushed fascism before and we'll crush it again" - WW2 veteran Ken, 98, in the tank

I love Ken!

The grift is systematic

FUN FACT: Since 2019, Nigel Farage's Reform has taken more than £2.3 MILLION from oil and gas interests - making up an astonishing 92% of the party's donations. Reform are NOT for ordinary people. They're in the pockets of the big oil lobby.

So, have I got this right, the water regulator is allowing the water firms to massively hike our water bills to fix the problems the water regulator was paid to make sure the water firms did not cause? They are laughing at us.

Failing to protect us from being screwed by profiteering private water firms, private energy firms, private train firms, private health firms in the NHS, etc is not a good look, Labour.

Britain was led down this path under Thatcherism, of 'no such thing as society', 'self interest is the only interest'. The progress that was made post WWII, in my opinion, was because the vast majority of populations saw the collective sacrifice and determined to deliver better.

Starmers Govt want to put solar panels on all new build homes by 2027, why not provide seed funding for making the panels at home instead of buying in from China etc. And whilst we are about it, why not get former shipyards to start making wind generators!

A company called "The Woodlander Initiative Ltd" (TWI) has been purchasing plots of land in Cymru. According to HOPE not hate, TWI is “a land-buying scheme aimed at far-right activists and conspiracy theorists with links to Patriotic Alternative (PA), the UK’s largest fascist group”.

Desperately want to get closer to the EU, however this is just 'craven'. How about we hand over the square mile instead. But no, let the peasants eat shit.

But hey, let's not upset Nigel.

Well - if it isn't just as I predicted/encouraged as soon as Trump came into power! ❤️ Delighted to see leading European nations so relatively bold and quick off the mark. The UK is really lagging on this open goal. Canada also have a massive opportunity too, given their new Horizon affiliation.

Steve Reed, Minister for our water and wastewater at DEFRA on Ch4. Seems out of his depth, or being fed bunkum. Lacks curiosity to ask necessary questions regards monitoring, investment and strategy. Regrettably, like much of this Labour Govt, lacks real ability and is willing to appease Industry.

Previous to the FDA, folks would put chalk and plaster of Paris in milk to make it appear white. They could also add formaldehyde to cover the smell and taste of spoiled milk.

Ofwat, I think you may find, just like the car insurance companies, that when the water companies do eventually pay for new infrastructure, the relationship between the companies and contractors is oddly in harmony.

Dr Martin McKee, a professor of European Public Health at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. “These findings are not just predictable, they were predicted.” www.theguardian.com/science/2025...

And as usual our political leadership are fast asleep and unconcerned for what's going on with our country, until it's too late!

"One of the key problems in government procurement of IT systems is... Managers are making decisions on highly technical solutions they do not understand." We are open to the threat of vampire tech.

More than 100 pollutants found in harbours on South Coast www.bbc.co.uk/news/article... These include anti-flea chemicals. Vets are responsible for the over-use of these - and anti-worm chemicals - for the benefit of their profits rather than our animals and environment. Scandalous.

It’s obvious to anyone with sense what Trump is doing, it’s insider trading, shorting, poker with a fixed deck, wholesale theft. It’s not just throwing the US to the wolves, but the world. ONLY THE RICH WILL WIN. The fact his voters will suffer (and they definitely will) is the only win here.

A two part tale of abject idiocy that perfectly summarises the disingenuous daily con perpetuated by the right, facilitated by a bought client media that incessantly platforms them.

Streeting is dangerous. He has taken shedloads of donations from private health firms and is promoting NHS privatisation. Not only does the evidence show that NHS privatisation has worse outcomes for patients and is more expensive but voters have never given permission to privatise our NHS.

Obviously Bezos must think, free speech is something only the right are entitled to and free trade is something decided on by the US alone! Along with who is an invader, who is a tyrant, and what is right or wrong!

Talksport - this is not a trip. Michael Oliver saw a foul.

This is the best image I’ve seen to explain to the average person why trickle down economics doesn’t work.

Man City losing 2-1 to a good Villa side does not look bad on the surface, but performance wise, City still look lost trying to turn possession into goals.

An unelected billionaire was crowned co-President by the Republican Party. They’ve given him the influence to make a damn post that throws a spending bill into limbo cause House Republicans are scared of him. No greater example of oligarchy. Where the ultra-wealthy run the show.

Dear Keir Starmer, If you don’t do something to stop Musk bankrolling Farage - urgently- you are signing the death warrant of UK democracy.

My comment is a general one about privatisations - water, energy, trains, NHS… But the way they privatise is to first deliberately underfund and break a service and then say “Hey, it’s broken. We need to privatise.”

“Just under half of Britain’s very highest paying jobs were located in London 30 years ago. Today that figure is almost 75 per cent.” Remarkable stat from @jburnmurdoch.bsky.social in this excellent column on our unbalanced economy. www.ft.com/content/eb02...

At this year's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, onlookers stood in inches-deep puddles and huddled under umbrellas to see the giant balloons, colorful floats and spangled marching bands. www.nytimes.com/2024/11/28/n...

Tim Stanley, in what now appears to be a weekly slot on one or other BBC flagship politics programme, reels off a huge amount of absolute, provable nonsense about immigration. And he does so completely unchallenged. Enough now. ~AA A MEGA-THREAD 🧵1/

Asked by Sky News whether his fellow Reform MP previously being jailed for repeatedly kicking his girlfriend, and then subsequently lying to voters about it, should be grounds for his expulsion from the party, Nigel Farage replies that "I've got a million followers on TikTok" and storms off

The excellent @snellarthur.bsky.social on Trump's latest appointments. Two extraordinary paragraphs that barely seem possible open.substack.com/pub/arthursn...
