Alright I have a question for *all of you*, esp for those of you who are not into environment stuff. When you think about planting native plants in the area you control, what *prevents* you from taking that action? These could be emotional, financial, practical, anything. RTs appreciated here.

The doctor said I have diet autism and I should do meth about it! But seriously: I was formally diagnosed with ADHD (after years of not daring/managing to try to get diagnosed) and will start meds soon! Lots of confusing feelings about it but hopeful that this'll help.

Yoo, new cloud painting!! I'm pretty happy about it. ☺️ #clouds #eastcoastkin #art

SQUIRREL! Look how it's stealing the mat leftovers! Also, bonus blackbird who was bathing less than a meter from the squirrel. #nature #wildlife #garden

On #blueskymonday, I have only grey sky and raindrops to offer. Which is great, because we needed that rain. (Shut up @grumpmatic.bsky.social ) #photography #clouds #nature #macromonday

Blue sky, storm edition. Not an hour later, we had a great thunderstorm. #photography #storm #clouds #sky

Finally remembered that it's #blueskymonday! So have some clouds from yesterday's festival to celebrate. With bonus storm-is-over-cloud. #eastcoastkin #photography #clouds

#stunday with a poppy field. The red was so strong against the green, it really felt like a glitch in the matrix... #nature #photography #eastcostkin #bloomscrolling

Yesterday's clouds - some wispy cirrus on a blue sky. With bonus sunset over the river with ducks! #eastcostkin #nature

#3goodthings today: Tandem bike tour with husband along the river Saw a family of swans with cygnets! A beer and a sunset on the river

I don't know who needs to see this but it's OK if you're a burden. All humans are. It's part of existing. And you know what? You deserve to take up space. Stop shrinking and minimizing your needs because society has convinced you that having needs is something to be ashamed of.

How do they rise up?

🐈‍⬛🤍.

#fotovorschlag 50shadesofgreen Endlich mit Regen heute!

Man, (German) academic applications are weird. Such high expectations (no. of publications, time it took to complete milestones). Then chances to explain why you fell short. Which is nice in theory but also feels shitty. Give vulnerable info to explain why you're not good enough... Ugh. #academicsky

Hi guys. On world bee day today, don't forget that honey bees are actually doing ok! It's solitary and subsocial native bees like mason bees and bumblebees that need our help. I'll post some resources in this thread on how you could help them, even if you don't have a yard to plant native flowers!

Train isn't working, so I had to take the bike and ended up with some beautiful cloud and sky pictures.

So that's what I need to do to write this damn book? Brb, gotta find some wilderness in Germany...

‘The antidote to negativity is not positivity, it’s warmth. Positivity tells a sad person there’s no reason to be sad. Warmth asks the sad person if they want to go get some ice cream.’ #MentalHealthMatters #SundayYellow #Flowers 🌱 #bloomscrolling #garden Bluff Country, MN 📷 May, 2025

Psst… the Bothans didn’t steal Death Star plans (hands you a brochure with the scribbled rantings of a mad man)

One of the coolest things about having published an academic book: giving copies to people who helped me write it and add a note of my gratitude.
