This. All of this.

A lot will be made, and rightly, of the consequences of this for the industry here in terms of the future - but at the risk of stating the obvious, River City is also a vital employer of a vast and varied and experienced workforce right here and now. www.radiotimes.com/tv/soaps/riv...

Aside from, very relevant, arguement about the representation of ordinary Scots on our screens, this is the crux of the matter. The BBC can choose to focus on "Shetland", "Vigil" and "The Rig" but none of those are possible without River City. It is a vital part of Scotland's screen industry.

Looking forward to these VERY much 🧡

Very much feels like a day of three teams thinking they could simply turn up and win...

Spring is when the lone lost gloves come back with the birds & blooms. All the warm-cold weather, on-offing brings their solitary not waving, drowning into blossom. Signalling helplessly from railings & fences, spatchcocked on the pavements like the last girl in a horror film crawling for dear life

Fascinating that none of the mainstream media have really picked up on Trump's comments about Greenland. I mean, a smirking sideways look, while saying, "...one way or another, we're gonna get it." is...pretty tyrannical stuff.

In 2018, I sat down on a doorstep beside two rough sleepers & recorded their lives. The R4 series Tara & George asked what led the couple to the streets. Last autumn, I was contacted by Tara’s brother, Shaun. She’s dead. Sun 16 Feb on BBC Radio 4 at 715pm & BBC Sounds. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m...

Cracking piece of street art in Glasgow right now.

I can't help but wonder if this might be exactly what Republicans want. A shutdown gives them the perfect excuse to circumvent the whole system "for the safety of the country and its citizens"...

This is very urgent. The UK government is planning to change copyright law. If you are an artist, author, musician or work in the creative industry please read this. www.chrishaughton.com/blog/ai-and-...

One of the best articles I’ve read about the age we are entering. And it touches on something that we need to discuss more: in authoritarianism it is *logical* to cede power to those in power. Or rather, it is seemingly logical. Ultimately, even after you give in, they’ll come for you.

Smiling today! 🦅💚 #iykyk
