When I applied for my exam, @rcoanews.bsky.social included Lord, Lady, Reverend and Brigadier General. Not that strange given there are anaesthetists in military except there were no other ranks. Are you automatically a Brigadier General if you're a military anaesthetist?

There is precious little evidence humiliation works. It doesn't fit with what (and this is semi-evidence based, semi-opinion) the science tells us about how we process information. We have a limited capacity to process information; our working memory can only deal with so much cognitive load. 1/4

Harvard has set an example for other higher-ed institutions - rejecting an unlawful and ham-handed attempt to stifle academic freedom, while taking steps to make sure students can benefit from an environment of intellectual inquiry, rigorous debate and mutual respect. Let’s hope others follow suit.
