Park of the Week: South Natomas Community Park. Located at 2921 Truxel Rd it features one of our biggest kids play grounds in the city as well as home to the South Natomas Library and Community Center.

This week's park of the week is none other than William Land Park. The 160 acre park is home to the Zoo, Fairytale Town, Funderland, and Golf Course. There are dozens of reservable picnic areas and it hosts large events like 5Ks and Car shows almost every weekend. #Landpark #sacramento #parkranger

I'm an animal lover, but one creature I absolutely loathe is the wasp. Be careful in our parks as it's still wasp season and they are defending their nests. If you see some loitering around, just slowly turn around and walk away. One stung my hand today. #waspsareevil #parkranger #sacramento

Last September, this little guy was stolen from a park in East Sacramento. I happened to be near by and spotted the suspect's vehicle. With help from the PD helicopter and the Fulton-El Camino Park Police, he was safely returned and the suspect's arrested. #sacramentoparks #frenchie #service #ranger

Friend of mine sent me some beautiful pictures during his ride of the Northern Bike Trail. This trail starts on C street near the Blue Diamond Factory, and stretches 8 miles to Elverta. If you haven't walked or rode this before, I highly recommend it!
