My dad snapped at me today. We were talking about cooking, something I've always loved, but I mentioned having a hard time with aromatics since losing my sense of smell during COVID. I didn't think I brought it up that often but apparently it's enough to be annoying.

It's always interesting to see what events lead to mass media narratives shifting. In 2020 there was a focus on public health and then police violence. In 2023 it was train derailments and then the labor movement. Now we have the US Federal government and plane crashes.

An interesting thing in the iterated prisoner's dilemma is that tit for tat is the *cheapest* strategy. Every additional maliciousness and complexity you tack on, costs more. Cruelty literally *inherently* is less efficient. It is impossible to be cruel, efficiently.

Finally saw a dermatologist! She took one look at my face and was immediately like "3 month antibiotic regimen. Tretinoin daily. Azelaic acid daily. Be consistent." Glad I'm going to clear up but, like, damn lol

I think the daily value for potassium is a decades long troll from nutritionists. 4.7 grams is crazy. You can't honestly tell me a dietician isn't lying when they're like "yeah so you should be eating 10 bananas every day. Or ~6 baked potatoes. Whatever works best for you :-)."

Ive said this before. Unions have a moment in time to create parallel, Non Profit Trust or Associated Health Plans and offer them to small to medium size businesses. Unions can negotiate far better than SMBs or associations . Imagine if millions got their healthcare from unions ? Thoughts ?
