Holy this brings back memories...

I like this.

I'm not sure I love all his films, but there are some insightful quotes from Alex Garland on game narrative below, and it sounds to me like he understand things about games and game development that I'm not sure a lot of game developers know. 🤔

Find a process that works for you. Beat sheets, index cards, outlines, pantsing, etc. Don't get into a self-defeating headspace just because the approach-du-jour doesn't work for you. Everyone's brain is different. Just do whatever works and don't worry about what it looks like from the outside.

Dammit, I hate, hate, hate those damn fucking Snorks. #stalker2

Woah, this looks fantastic.

William freaking Gibson, folks. 🇨🇦

The style of @thelongdark.bsky.social still makes it one of the most beautiful games I’ve been playing since before Lower Carter Dam and the relocation of Fluffy was a thing.

shorturl.at/auMI2 One of our awesome HR peeps is out for maternity leave soon and will need cover at the studio during that time. If you're looking for a 7-month gig with wonderful people let us know!

Slightly different comment about AVOWED, which I haven't played. I found the key art visually intriguing but also a turn-off, as I have no interest in playing a colourful skeleton, and I don't understand what this art has to do with the game. It's beautiful, but confusing. Why use this?

Still a huge accomplishment for a small team (40+ is still not huge for what they made), but kudos to Seth for helping highlight the "true" size of the Pacific Drive dev team (not that the devs were hiding it, I think things just get a little distorted in the news sometimes...)

That's...one hell of a cast.
