To each their own, and no judgment at all to anyone who enjoyed it, but I can't think of a recent movie that has disappointed me more than 28 YEARS LATER. What a weird and incongruous tone in comparison to the previous two films. Just an odd, uneven film. I honestly do not understand the praise.

This is extremely important. Generative AI is not a tool developed to advance for human knowledge and understanding. It is a tool explicitly developed in service of corporate greed. AI’s core utility is to undercut the cost of paying workers and thereby increase profit margins for a select few.

Canada has a huge economy relative to our population. I'm happy to see us commit to 5% GDP spend on NATO where 1.5-2% is on security-related infrastructure and nation-building projects (ex. more ports, rail, etc). We should also spend big on housing & improved social programs. It's not either/or.

my dudes there's no such thing as "too late" to regulate AI, that's a fake idea. AI models aren't untouchable data gods, they're algorithms hosted in cloud storage. Saying we can't regulate AI is like saying we can't deplatform Child P*rn bc "it's already out there". Like, 1s and 0s can be deleted
