Folks took our slides and translated into Chinese

ICE raids are ramping up. We made this to help folks best protect themselves and their community. Please share far and wide.

Crosswalk request: "Tired of dodging cars here everyday with the stop line practically nonexistent too.” Crosswalk marked at Wilshire and Kenmore in Koreatown. The stop line got a touch-up too.

On the bright side, Saudi-Israeli normalization ain't happening any time soon https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/netanyahu-suggests-palestinians-can-have-state-saudi-arabia

I was born around the same time as the state of Israel. During the Six Day War I waw them as plucky, brave and competent underdogs. Regretfully, I no longer see things that way. I admire many aspects of Jewish culture, and deeply resent my objective opinion as being labelled antisemitic.

Many people argue that Israeli atrocities against Palestinians reflect the ideology of Netanyahu and the far-right, and that we shouldn't blame Israel as a whole. So to clarify: ethnic cleansing has been going on since Israel's birth in 1948—regardless of who led the country. 1/15

Those who say nothing against the fantasy of expelling 2m Palestinians from Gaza, have no right to say anything against fantasies of expelling 7m Jews from Israel.

The absolute glee some are displaying in blaming Palestinians, and people who protested on their behalf, for their own ethnic cleansing is a strategic error (obvs you target the decision maker), a political error (obvs you need those votes), and a moral error (obvs fix your hearts or die).

US in 2024: hey Israel, here's an unlimited supply of 2000-pound bombs for your war in Gaza US in 2025: oh no, Gaza is unlivable, we must occupy it and displace 2 millions Palestinians

Any time we think things can't get more dumb, we are proven wrong https://apnews.com/article/trump-netanyahu-washington-ceasefire-1c8deec4dd46177e08e07d669d595ed3

As the Israeli military swept into a string of Syrian villages in December, the soldiers assured locals that the presence would be temporary. But the earthmoving vehicles that followed suggest a more permanent presence.

Please repost and share broadly to get visibility

People in the US: Post below projects, organizations, groups organizing against the fascist takeover. No advocacy please; it's is needed but that's not what this thread is for. Direct action. Civil resistance. Protests. Disobedience.

I wonder why 🤔

The opposition to Netanyahu (you know, those who are supposed to save Israel from far-right messianism) propose annexing a huge chunk of the West Bank because it's a “strategic asset”. Netanyahu's government turned it down because annexation “needs to be done in the right way". Can't make this up

Many of my Zionist & Israeli relatives think of the Israeli state as separate from settlements, which only represent extremists. But settler violence & ethnic cleansing are only possible with the active or passive support of Israel's government, courts, the IDF & police. https://archive.ph/sQpNK

Militarism is when a man convicted of aggravated rape gets a lighter sentence because he fought in Gaza

Roads in the west bank blocked, Palestinians from Jerusalem receiving text messages telling them to go back to Jerusalem, mass arrests, and almost 900 checkpoints set up across the territory. Whats going to happen to the west bank?

This is what Gaza looks like today 1/15 Photos & videos from Haaretz: www.haaretz.com/news/middle-...

Palestinian Authority security forces are basically a branch of the IDF https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/israel-launches-major-iron-wall-assault-jenin-days-after-gaza-ceasefire

I thought support for genocide didn't impact the election results in a major way. I was wrong. 29% of voters who voted Biden in 2020 & did *not* vote Harris in 2024 say “ending Israel’s violence in Gaza” was the top reason for their choice. https://www.imeupolicyproject.org/postelection-polling

Ladies and gentlemen, because our world isn't absurd enough, I present to you a JEWISH organization whose sole mission is to combat RACISM AND ANTISEMITISM legitimizing and excusing actual, genuine NAZISM. We're so fucked.

Ayman Odeh conveys my thoughts exactly: "I am happy about the release of the hostages and prisoners. From here, both peoples must be freed from the yoke of the occupation. We were all born free."

"Under the current conditions, there won't be a second stage to the deal. Hamas won't willingly enter into an agreement that will lead to its destruction. Netanyahu's tactics are wrong and won't bring the last hostages home or end the war." https://archive.ph/ne4uV

Today, while in Southern Mexico to work with groups fighting for indigenous and migrant rights, I met someone who was on the 2010 Freedom Flotilla to break the Gaza blockade. At the time, I was in Israel, defending Israel's raid on the flotilla to whoever would listen. We've come a long way.

In less than two days since the agreement between Israel and Hamas was announced, fighting and airstrikes have killed at least 115 people, local authorities said. www.nbcnews.com/news/world/i...

Most of those points of valid. But there is something to be said about Mastodon being 8 years old and nowhere near what's needed to go mainstream. Vision and implementation matter.
