Exactly. People act like they’ll just snap out of their hypnosis one day instead of facing the simple truth that these people LIKE being this way. Refusing to punish Confederates, Nazis, Nixon, and Trump is what got us here.

Republicans control all three branches of government, including both chambers of Congress, yet SOMEHOW, this is Democrats’ fault.

French game from French studio has French title. Shocking. They tack on “Expedition 33” for the dummies who can’t be bothered to look stuff up. Kind of like how “Shadows Die Twice” got tacked onto Sekiro.

That feeling when you come up with a great first line for your story so you have to back and thread elements of that theme throughout the rest of the book.

I’m just a boy, looking at Converse, asking them to bring back the floral print Jack Purcell slip-on because it’s the best summer shoe I’ve ever had.

Shinobi: Art of Vengeance, Assassin’s Creed: Shadows, Ninja Gaiden II Black, Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound, Ninja Gaiden 4. Somebody important clearly said, “Screw it. In 2025, we’re doing ninjas. All. Year. Long.”

Not "all white people" are wrong. But when it comes to race, the majority of white Americans have been on the wrong side of every single racial issue in the 248-year history of this country. So why would anyone even care what they think about Black art?

I suppose the bright side is that the faster it all collapses, the faster we can set about rebuilding.

south korean politicians were literally scaling fences to protect their government and our senators are sending out pre-scheduled tweets about the super bowl while an unelected foreign billionaire seizes control of the treasury.

This was always the plan. When/if #TikTok comes back, I wouldn’t trust it anymore.

The leaders of Krypton refusing to accept the fact that the planet was exploding has somehow become the least far fetched part of Superman’s story.

Dad story: A few years ago, when my kid was about 2 or 3, he was impatiently asking for something & I said, “just hold your horses.” He immediately started rummaging through his toys & when I asked what he was doing, he presented 3 plastic horses & said “holding my horses!”

Grumpy old man hot take: if @xbox.com & @playstation.com are going to insist on us getting comfortable w/ not owning anything & nothing working right out of the box anymore, then they need to get comfortable w/ high server traffic on Christmas. Anti-consumer d-bags.

That Superman trailer. Holy shit. We need this movie right now. Not in n the fanboy sense but in the “this is a healing balm that people need with something good to believe in” sense. Take us home, Krypto.

Nobody is a worse judge of my future state of mind than me.

Started revising the beginning of a chapter that needed work and wound up falling down a path that turned it into a whole different chapter. And honestly, I ain’t mad.

Republicans want to win, no matter the cost. Democrats want to be right, no matter the cost. In both cases, the cost is democracy.

Constantly referring to my wife’s sourdough starter as the “yeasty boy” until she makes me go to therapy.

My diplomatic opinion: Any movie you watch during the holidays can be a Christmas movie if you find value in it that aligns with the meaning of the season. My snobbish opinion: Sometimes a holiday is just used as part of a setting to add tension and heighten the stakes.

Re: Tyson vs Paul. I think there was a certain point last night, around the third round, when we all - Tyson & Paul included - realized he was, in fact, too old for this and no matter the outcome, the real loser was everyone.

Raising a kid in a non-religious household means he hears stuff from his classmates about religion and you find yourself having to explain what a prophet is. Me: It’s somebody who speaks on behalf of a god. 7-year old: You mean like a lawyer?

In the interest of new beginnings, I think I’ll dedicate this space to the things that bring me joy: parenting, comics, video games. I accidentally started writing a novel last year and I may just document some of that journey here. Might just fuck around and publish it. Let’s go!
