The context is a Twitter account paying to pretend to be Enzo Fernandez quoting an account which paid to impersonate Ethan Nwaneri which quotes an account being paid by a betting firm and who hasn't had an original thought in 125k tweets. All of whom get paid per bad faith interaction. Twitter = 🚮

Saudi 2034 gets "highest ever score in bidding history" in Fifa's evaluation report. Must be good given the number who will die getting it ready, the fact a major host city remains *unbuilt* and ongoing uncertainty about its timing. If you think they're laughing at you, it probably because they are.

With football Twitter rapidly reassembling here, one plea to help leave the toxicity behind: your football club is not a person. It doesn't have feelings, it doesn't experience disrespect. Love your club by all means, but recognise that it does not need you to fight for its honour on social media.
