Orange Fuhrer says to Zalenskyy: "You don't have the cards." But he does. He has the European Union full house. He has the support of real democracies around the world. He has the support of his people. He has the support of the US public. President Zalenskyy holds a damned good hand.

If the Musk/Trump administration is allowed to pursue the America Alone strategy the US will need a much bigger military. When allies turn to their separate interests the US will have to defend its own interests against an unsympathetic world. No more Pax Americana. Fortress America will be costly.

Okay, then. The US/Russia circle-jerk talks have ended and they've carved up the European areas of interest. Will the UK, Germany, France, Sweden and Finland defend European autonomy or fold?

I worked as an educator in community colleges for 10 years after retirement from field archaeology. I think I know why the extreme right wants to eliminate the Department of Education. Importantly, the DOE collaborates with state agencies to establish national educational priorities and standards.
