i would go further: the main purpose of the new adaptation is to fund jk rowling's legal challenges against trans people. there's no earnest motivation to accomplish or do something the cinematic adaptations failed to do. this is just a boat load of money for rowling to bankroll her bigoted crusade.

I can’t overstate how important the character of Stede Bonnet was to me, the way Rhys played him. The soft, gentle quality of Stede’s masculinity, his love of flowers, fine things, and little outfits, just everything about him resonated with me and will always mean so much to me.

Hey all, I am raising money to get a wheelchair! I CAN walk, but not as far as the parking lot for our apt. Right now I'm trapped. (Also my wife's current wheelchair is 1. too small for me and 2. a bit shit) The one I'm eyeing is $300. No used bariatric chairs in my area, alas.
