Really don't understand how people juggle these supposed "on-track" targets with talk of a just transition. Feel like discourse around climate justice has lulled some people into the false belief that there is something inherently equitable about the process of transitioning away from fossil fuels.

With the way things are going we don't need to worry at all about some future AI turning us all into human batteries to optimize paperclip production. We will have already done it ourselves trying to will AGI into existence long before that.
