I think it's really important for every human being to make stuff. Experiencing things other people have made is obviously delightful: but if you only consume, never create, you're missing out on an incredible depth of the human experience. Make time for that hobby, especially in dark times.

How come when I go to the counter at the post office, I can buy the most stunning pieces of artwork in stamp form, but the self-serve machine only spits out procedurally generated barcodes? Just dispense a sheet of 10 stamps! I WANT THE PRETTY PICTURES! >:[

finally got the opportunity to use the leather stitching machine on an actual project. Whoo boi it took a bit to get it working, but it's running nicely now. Operating it is a lil awkward for a small person like me, but once I got the hang of it, it went pretty smoothly.

Bleh, turns out I just can't do any woodworking projects that require stain in winter -w- The only place I can stain and dry the wood is in the garage and that's not heated, or insulated. The stain simply comes out horrible. BUT, I've been fucking around, putting this design into acrylic.
