The 50-year reunion of the famed Batsford Boys was one of Wimbledon's feel-good stories of the season. Ray Armfield writes a heart-warming piece including the tale of how a cult hero made his emotional appearance.. read it here wdsa.com.au/2025/02/the-...

My next scheduled Plough Lane stadium tour is Friday 14 March at 1200. Won’t be as busy as this one with Hans Segers but you’ll go behind the scenes and have the chance to check out the new museum. Get tickets now! tickets.afcwimbledon.ltd.uk/selection/ti...

FT 0-0. A point gained rather than two dropped as we never really got going. Eleven games unbeaten and a 17th clean sheet for Owen Goodman probably the highlights. Safe journey home to the 158 travelling Dons fans.

🇳🇱 Returning to Plough Lane over 30 years after his last game at the previous incarnation of our ground, Hans Segers certainly felt at home. 💬 “The power of Wimbledon shines through, whether the Club is in non-league or the Premier League.” #AFCW 🟡🔵 www.afcwimbledon.co.uk/news/2025/fe...

Here’s how we line-up for tonight’s Sky Bet League Two fixture. 📋 #AFCW 🟡🔵

Hotel receptionist kindly let us into our room two hours earlier than the planned check-in, so made the most of the extra time to have a good look around Nice. And after five miles of walking, a well-earned drink 😊

Granddaughter nicely responded to some (gentle) playground teasing from Chelsea and Palace ‘fans’ about supporting AFC Wimbledon with “I told the boys I actually go to games and get to meet the players. You don’t.” Good girl. And her Dad said to me “You gave me the same advice when I was her age…” 😊

Another nice wee photo out the back earlier

Us v them this season? Men 3-0 (h) 2-0 (a) FA Cup 0-0 (a) U18s 2-0 (a) 3-0 (h) Women 5-0 (h) 15-0. Advantage Wimbledon. 🔵🟡

📣 With 2025 rolling around, @thedonstrust.bsky.social wanted to provide an update on several topics.  #AFCW 🟡🔵 www.afcwimbledon.co.uk/news/2025/ja...

FT 2-0. Wasn’t pretty but it was all about getting the three points and keeping in touch at the top. And we’ve done that. Job done.

After two recent postponements AFC Wimbledon are finally back in action today and a first Plough Lane fixture in 2025. Allow a bit more time for your matchday journey due to road and rail disruption but bring your voices. Three points against lowly Tranmere are a must! 🔵🟡

A photo from 10 July 2002. When we went to revisit the FA, gatecrashed an EFL Chairmen’s protest and most then went on to AFC Wimbledon’s inaugural friendly at Sutton United and were later shocked when a certain someone here took Pete Winkelman’s twenty pieces of silver and moved to Buckinghamshire.

After many generous people sponsored me for over £1,060 last year, I’m going to be pounding the mean streets of Sheppey in February once again to raise money for Alzheimer’s Research UK. Any donations - however small - will be very welcome! justgiving.com/fundraising/...

The Dons are pleased to announce the signing of attacking midfielder Marcus Browne on a contract until the end of the season. ✍️ #AFCW 🟡🔵

Have never forgotten the name of Lee Boxell since this heartbreak happened in 1988. A big football fan who watched several local clubs (including Wimbledon) I really hope his father will finally find some answers (and peace) concerning Lee’s disappearance. www.yourlocalguardian.co.uk/news/2484058...

FT: Oxford United 0 - 1 AFC Wimbledon YEEEES! The best start to the new year!

Perhaps inviting Steve wouldn’t have been in the wider interests of football? #Karma

Club did everything it could to get the game on but the last two nights have been bitterly cold.

The club have just confirmed our first January signing in the form of Romaine Sawyers He joins the club on a deal till the end of the season, having most recently been at AFC Wimbledon Welcome to the Gas, Romaine ⛽️ #UTG

Happy Birthday to ‘El Presidente’ Dickie Guy who turns 76 today 🎂

Happy 60th Birthday Vinnie Jones 🔵🟡🏆

A win at Fleetwood tomorrow will regain our second place while a draw puts us up to third. But most of all I hope the game goes ahead to reward the hardy Dons fans who have already travelled to the North West or hold expensive train/coach tickets. Be kind to them weather gods! 🙏

50 years ago today, heroics from Dickie Guy helped Wimbledon become the first non-league side to win away at a top flight club in the FA Cup for 54 years when a Mick Mahon goal knocked out Burnley at Turf Moor. The Dons reward was a trip to Elland Road to face Leeds United. 🔵🟡

One of the starting XI in AFC Wimbledon’s inaugural friendly against Sutton United in 2002, midfielder Neil Northcott was a serving soldier at the time and later played for and managed Wivenhoe Town plus several other clubs in the Colchester area. Welcome to WOPA Neil. 🔵🟡🤝

Goals in 2025: Josh Kelly 1 Mo Salah 0 Harry Kane 0 Cole Palmer 0 Erling Haaland 0 Robert Lewandowski 0

Michael Sheen, Desmond Llewelyn, Tony Pulis, Chris Gunter, Goldie Lookin Chain, your boys got a hell of a beating… 😉

A big thumbs up to the 358 travelling Dons tonight - absolutely immense! 👍 #AFCW 🟡🔵

Striker David Kemp made a solitary Wimbledon appearance as a League Cup substitute in 1984, but returned to the Dons as a youth and later first team coach in a second spell which saw him and Mick Harford step in as caretakers in 1999 after Joe Kinnear’s heart attack. Welcome to WOPA Dave! 🔵🟡🤝

I’d rather watch Dave Lee Travis play Macbeth

After a long day and evening at football yesterday (ten hours at Plough Lane) having a quiet one tonight, so Happy New Year to everyone and hope 2025 brings you health and happiness. See you on the other side🍷

I said the Football Gods owed us something after two shocking decisions cost us four points recently, so while that will be no consolation to Gillingham, two big calls went in our favour to help us go second. Huge win, with Bugiel, Lewis, Ball, Hippolyte and Maycock all missing. We go up to second!

Let’s get this place rocking under the lights tonight! (📸ProSportsImages) 🔵🟡

We lost this great man 15 years ago today. Allen Batsford. Always remembered. Never forgotten.

FAO Football Gods: We’ve not had the rub of the green from you lately - Newport’s last kick ‘penalty’, hitting the post twice in seconds at Chesterfield (+ Pig’s spurned late chance) then the disallowed goal against Swindon. That’s cost us five points. Surely we’re due a change in fortunes?

Football season > Festive season 🔵🟡

Every Christmas morning Spike Milligan would telephone Jesus College, Cambridge. When the porter answered, Spike would ask "Is that Jesus?" When told that it was, he would then wish them a happy birthday…

Merry Christmas to every Wimbledon fan celebrating around the world. 🎄❤️ #AFCW 🟡🔵

“Feliz Navidad? The Spanish boy? A top, top player. Had him on loan at Pompey once.”

Merry Christmas all - especially to those who have to work today like my daughter doing a 6am to 2pm shift with one of the Emergency Services to help keep us all safe and well. Hope she has a quiet one. Very proud of her and the job she does…
