Maybe it's because I'm Canadian, but it was interesting to listen to the latest @unclearpod.bsky.social episode on Contact and hear @jamellebouie.net get so close and miss the point. He talked about Independence Day and Contact as opposites with respect to American Hegemony. (Post 1)

I've long believed that everyone on the TTC board (and preferably the entire Council) be required to take TTC from their home to City Hall once a month. The reality of transit commuting would hit home and service levels would increase. H/t @shawnmicallef.bsky.social
