It’s an honor to welcome my friend, and @democrats.org chairman Ken Martin back to St. Louis! Democrats are competing everywhere and I’m so proud to be in this good fight! Let’s get to work!

Missouri is a former slave state— It’s an honor to walk in this building everyday. Happy Black History Month.

Missouri Dem lawmaker Ray Reed: Do you feel comfortable with the KKK endorsing your idea? GOP lawmaker who sponsored bill: “I don’t have an opinion…” Nice work to @rayreedmo.bsky.social for calling out the stodgy old Republican on his bad idea.

Growing up black, you hear throughout your life all the things that you’re not. Now, I can say with certainty what I am: A member of the House of Representatives. Happy Black History Month.

Had a great time having coffee this morning with my former boss and friend Governor Nixon. Everyday it’s a blessing to serve our communities and I’m so thankful for his leadership and wisdom.

Got into some good trouble on the front lawn of the capitol 🫶🏽

Republicans are waging culture wars and placing marginalized communities on the front lines. Let me be clear— We will not abandon trans kids. You’re not invisible. We see you. I promise we will fight for you. 🫶🏽

10 years ago, I was in high school writing about Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird. Now, I’m a member of the Missouri House of Representatives and while many want to dismantle diversity, equity, and inclusion, I invite them to study the teachings of Atticus Finch.

A hope of mine when I ran for office was that young people, especially young black men, and everyone else who knows what it feels like to be left out, can see themselves in their government. I want each of them to know that they have a stake in everything that goes on here.

While today may seem dark, it is our duty to lead with light.

Tonight marks the last evening a Democrat will occupy the White House for a little while. I know many are feeling a mix of emotions—disappointment, anxiety, and uncertainty about what lies ahead. Know this: We are not defeated. We are not powerless, and we are never beyond hope.

Being in the Governor’s office was the privilege of a lifetime. I’ve learned so much from Governor Nixon. It was great to have him visit my office this morning.

To my district:

Highlight of the day: My grandma, born 25 years before the voting rights act witnessed me get sworn in to represent her in the Missouri House of Representatives. 🥹

I was just sworn into the Missouri House of Representatives and as promised I’m filing my day one bills. ✅ Comprehensive Gun Safety Bill ✅ Ban sale of assault weapons. ✅ Corporate Tax Fairness ✅ Child Tax Credit ✅ DACA recipients professional licenses

I started my journey in government in the office of Missouri’s last democratic governor Jay Nixon— A damn good statesman. Tomorrow, I’ll be sworn into the Missouri House of Representatives and I’ve never been more ready to continue the good fight for working families.

I’m running for DNC Chair as a pro-labor progressive. If elected, you won’t just have a friend of labor leading the party—you’ll have a union brother sitting in the corner office. If you’re with me, join us today: kenforchair.com

Ep2 - Dropping 1/6/25 Get hyped, stay warm.

We are not powerless. We are never beyond hope. I take office Wednesday.

As a card-carrying union member turned Minnesota DFL Chair, I’ve been proud to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with labor during my tenure.

This year, I won election to the Missouri House of Representatives and then I won at life when I married Natalia. Can wait to take on 2025 and every year after together. Happy New Year from us 🥂

A damn good listen from @midmapdadenergy.bsky.social

Today, we lost a true servant of the people. President Jimmy Carter showed us that leadership is about humility, compassion, and a tireless commitment to justice. From his work in the White House to his tireless advocacy for human rights and global health, he reminded us that every life has value.

Coolest part about being elected to the Missouri House of Representatives? Being able to run around the capitol building with my dog 🥹🫶🏽

My 84 year old grandma is coming to the capitol building to see me sworn in to the Missouri House of Representatives. I think that’s pretty cool. Today, she’s getting to spend Christmas with her great grandkids. I think that’s even cooler.

The constitution isn’t a machine that runs on its own. It’s a living document and we keep it alive by believing in it and fighting for it… Even (and especially) when it feels like it’s failed us. Important to remember over the next 4 years.

12 years ago a man walked into Sandy Hook Elementary and killed 20 children and 6 educators. In 349 days this year, there have been 482 mass shootings, and 1,335 kids killed. We’ve learned nothing, except how much Republicans value gun lobby money over children’s lives.

I’m visiting kids at schools in my district for the first time as an elected official next week and it’s so surreal. Old enough to be their state legislator. Young enough to also follow Kai Cenat.

To be clear, Donald Trump is proposing a trade war of undetermined length, at undetermined costs, with undetermined consequences. If republicans are looking for a fight, they should wage a war on poverty, homelessness, climate change, gun violence, or inflation.

In 2008, I was 11 years old watching President Obama elected as President of the United States— That’s when I fell in love with the good fight. Now, I’m a Representative-Elect of the Missouri House of Representatives and I still believe in hope and fighting the good fight.
