This is a fantastic version! Highly recommend!

Virtue signaling is what the right call integrity to make it sound like a bad thing.

Thr first episode of Dexter: Original Sin is major cringe. It's like high school cosplay. And yet here I am watching the next episode. 😬

I miss "old" Netflix with the 5-star rating system and the recommendations from others who rated films similar to yours.

I watched Nosferatu for the second time tonight. It might just be the most beautiful film ever created.

If you play "Blade Runner: The Final Cut" on Dec. 31st at 10:36:12 PM, you'll hear Roy Batty asking for more life as the clock strikes midnight, thus granting him another year of life. Start off his new year right.

If you are a GM of a movie theater, I'm gonna let you in on a little secret. You don't need to invest millions in new snacks, bowling alleys, etc. to woo customers back. All you need to do is THROW OUT ANYONE WHO VAPES, USES THEIR CELLPHONE, OR CAUSES ANY DISTURBANCE. AND DO IT CONSISTENTLY!

Here it is! The long-awaited list that none of you asked for! My favorite films of 2024. This isn't necessarily in order, but Nosferatu is my favorite film of the year, with The Substance and Heretic tied for second:

Watching people on Tiktok explain to other people on Tiktok what Gothic horror is because they didn’t understand Nosferatu is really sad. Damn, I'm old.

Yesterday, I allowed myself to be lured into watching Anora because of its critical reception, even though I hated the trailer. Well, I hated everything about it—the storyline, the characters, the acting, the actors, the dialogue. It was a brutal waste of time.

After watching Nosferatu today, I commented to my wife on how beautiful the ending shot was. Then, lo and behold, I saw this article on my feed. It's a fantastic film with stunning cinematography. This is one of the best written reviews I've read about it:

(At Work) Female Patient: "I know you're married because you're such a nice, nice man."
