I promised my wife I'd read A Court of Wings and Ruin after I finished Wind and Truth. I admit I skim the "smut" (though honestly there really isn't very much) but I like the books well enough. Definitely page turners. Plus my wife and I, while we have many shared interests, now have books, too!

Finished Wind and Truth. Going in I expected a non stop Sanderlanch Endgame Cosmere-style. What I got was an introspective narrative about facing one's past and inner demons and perfectly laid midpoint book. I am very thankful my expectations were wrong.
