Stop what you're doing and read this. You'll be better for it.

I was watching The Rockford Files and the episode turned out to be a TV movie about private computer centers. And how they're bad. And how private companies dealing with your information are willing to do anything. And then this title card popped. This was made in 1977!!!!

Just remember, the only thing standing between you and a reading cave is you.

Fyi, electric cars are super safe. I took a hit at 45 mph when I was turning on a greenlight. No, the car did not explode or catch fire. I did have to pry the door open with my foot, but that's the fault of physics. Now to deal with insurance, yay...

The Rockford Files deals with topics that are still, sadly, relevant today and I highly recommend everyone watch it. Cult of Personalities Nazis The mob (tho that one shows up often) Corruption How to deal with the cops/feds It has it all!

I remember this experiment being taught in college. Its implications are the canary in the coal mines of today and a reminder that our democratic values must always be ardently defended.

My family got me a goal tracking calendar from the Yetch store! I get to now stare in horror if I miss a day of not getting some kind of art done. 40 is the year of getting shit done.

Make something only you can make. And that's what A.I. cannot do. It can only regurgitate, never make.

Professor who teaches African American studies here. If your school eliminates or bans it, I will personally host free zoom sessions, provide resources, or answer questions for students, parents/guardians, or teachers who are interested in learning or discussing African American studies.

Currently reading The Invisible by Stanislav Lem. Man, how people write now vs the mid 20th century is wildly different. We are seemingly whip panning narratively between different rooms in this massive ship at break neck speed. I'm very glad to be reading it.

Fuck everything this administration is doing. Idiots, the lot of them.

I have covered NOAA and it’s work for like 15 years and this is brutal. If you’re there and want to chat or share anything, signal is davelevitan.26

Does anyone know how I can manifest a #JennyLeclue sequel?? My daughter and I finished it and we need a sequel. But the dev's been radio silent since 2021.... WHO DO I HAVE TO BRIBE?!!

It's the damn truth. Make more time for the people in your life who bring joy to it. This includes yourself.

Polished off my first book for 2025. I got it used from the friends of the library bookstore for $2, and it's pretty apparent that it is worth way more than that. A fantastic read, I highly recommend it, but saying that Erik Larson is good is like saying Ken Burns is worth watching. Like, duh. Do it

Oh no, another company stole the A.I. guys code they trademarked after they stole copyrighted material from all creatives to train their product on.

As a guy who would love to own a bookstore. I am very excited by this.

Auschwitz was at the end of a long process. It did not start from gas chambers. This hatred was gradually developed by humans. From ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder. Auschwitz took time.

I'm at that point in a book where I am in it to finish it but also want it over with so I can start another one without the guilt of finishing this one. Why am I this way?

Today is the start of some very strange shit. It's gonna suck, but we're going to get through this and make some amazing shit along the way. We got each other and that's what we need during times of darkness.

I write unhinged reviews for restaurants I like bc "good burgers" isn't the same as "Ground in my teeth, soft and supple, but not without flavor or fight, tis a burger that has no equal on this mortal plane." You see what I'm saying, right?

Is it just me or is Adam Scott transforming into Alan Alda? I'm here for this btw.

Suddenly, everyone is an expert on land management and fire prevention and I'm so tired of it.

The Bookwalker: Thief of Tales has been so much fun. I highly recommend it. You literally jump into books to steal a valued item from it for clients. It's super unique and good.
