A lot of people whenever I bring up my opposition to AI call me a "luddite" To which I say, GOOD! BECAUSE THE LUDDITES WERE RIGHT! They're primary concern was loss of jobs for textile workers, poorer pay and working conditions and poorer quality products, all of which happened!

If you look at the Fox news reports and tweets from Elon about what government "waste," it's almost all just scientific research they don't understand enough to see the value in. The public would see the value in it if more scientists talked publicly about their research and the value in it.
