Hi Dr. Mary: After the sellout (no other way to put it) of the Avro Arrow - Canada got the Bomarc missile defense system which was designed for an earlier and slower, but similar, icbm assault. Same story. When you hit a missile from Russia or China (and now North Korea) it comes down in Canada.

The reality should occur to separatists that Alberta currently exists within a federation that has access to tidewater. An independent Alberta is landlocked. Int'l negotiations are req'd for trade. And being part of the USA, as a state? Well, I can hear it now. "You just don't have the cards".

Dr. Mary: I agree that health care is extremely dire for many Canadians, but, similar to me singing and folks asking what did I do with money for voice lessons - the Provinces have to answer a similar question about what they did with their Medicare allocations.
