LOUISVILLE!! Let me help you make a living will tomorrow! 6/26 at the main library branch, 7pm. I promise I can make paperwork fun. It’s a special talent.

Kind of a big day for me, folks. I never thought my first published book would be a how-to guide for parental death, but here we are. It’s well-researched, it’s funny, and it’s officially available for pre-order: www.deadparentswhatnow.com/book

I made you a summer playlist featuring Lady Gaga, Nova Twins, SASAMI, The Beach Boys, Sly & the Family Stone, Julien Baker, and then some. ☀️ 😘 🎶 open.spotify.com/playlist/5DT...

If you were too young in 2003 here is what Bush told the American people: 1) The Iraq War won’t cost a lot of money 3) We won’t need a lot of troops 4) We’ll bring peace and freedom to Iraq 5) We’ll find WMDs 6) We’ll be welcomed as liberators 7) It will be easy 8) It won’t take long All lies.

Book 28 of 2025: PATRICIA WANTS TO CUDDLE by @samanthaallen.bsky.social. What a joy to celebrate Pride month with this queer cryptid rom-com reality TV murder mystery! 🏳️‍🌈 🐒 🔪 📚👀

Making an advance healthcare directive is scary. I get it! But it's less scary if we do it together. If you're in Louisville, meet me at the Louisville Free Public Library main branch ONE WEEK FROM TODAY at 7pm. I'll guide you through it. #louisville #deathsalon #deathpositive #estateplanning

I used to work at a large insurance company and this is true!!

Hi, hello Louisville friends. Very excited to be hosting this workshop next month. It’s something I’ve wanted to try for a while, and I finally worked up the courage? Sign up maybe and/or tell your friends? That would be super cool? 🥺

Ok so how many elected officials have to be arrested by the secret police before people stop saying we’re “sliding toward” fascism? This is it, baby

Book 27 of 2025: YOU DREAMED OF EMPIRES by Álvaro Enrigue, translated by Natasha Wimmer. We love a trippy reimagined history. It’s almost like a novel making fun of office bureaucracy but the office is Tenochtitlan and the boss is Moctezuma and the overconfident consultant is Cortés. 📚👀

Because Father’s Day wasn’t bad enough, today is the 5-year anniversary of my mom’s death. I wrote a little something about her, if you’re so inclined: www.deadparentswhatnow.com/updates/a-se...

Is it bad that my diet over the past few days has consisted primarily of tomatoes?

Book 26 of 2025: HOW TO TELL WHEN WE WILL DIE by Johanna Hedva. A book of disability-centered essays that is gross and punk and lively and philosophical and kinky and sometimes sad but never tragic. A very good read. 📚👀

I’m not going to apologize for getting political on main because dignity in death AND life is an inherently political subject. I’m deeply disturbed by 🧊 activity in this country and I think that as a #deathpositive person, it’s my duty (and yours) to oppose 🧊 however I can.

The idea we should behave in such a way that the Trumpists will not portray us as dangerous/ lawless/ violent is a silly idea, because they always portray us that way and no amount of curtseys and rolling over and playing dead will change that. So people might as well speak up and stand strong.

I have once again been tempted into weeknight karaoke. It is not hard to do.

If you’re wondering what you can do to support folks in Los Angeles: www.communityjusticeexchange.org/en/nbfn-dire...

So yeah, fuck ICE.

Come make a living will with me! It’s more fun if we do it together!!

A plague a’ both houses!

I always think of myself as “bad at money,” but today I met with financial advisor and a CPA and they said I gave them the most impressive first-time rundown of personal finances they’ve ever seen—so maybe I’m not bad at money?

Well, I’m probably the last person alive to see Sinners. And yeah, it is that good, as it turns out.
