One of my absolute favorite things is paying money to support a friend and go do something fun (in this case, go to their restaurant) and knowing that my friend is pocketing my money. THE BEST. I can spend with impunity because I know good people are profiting.

I was critical of the CDC's response to the bird flu under the Biden administration. But even then, despite problems, the CDC regularly briefed the public on the situation. No briefings since Jan 20. Press releases have halted, too.
