Been teaching myself relief carving here's the first attempt so far. Turns our v shaped gouges are so much easier that trying it with a bench chisel.

Had a really fun weekend away in Nottingham with some great friends. Spent most of it in Warhammer World playing 40k. My Imperial Guard faced off against Death Guard and World Eaters.

Finished Deathworlder by @writervh.bsky.social It was so good! I really liked the characters, their dynamics, and how none of them felt like they were guaranteed to survive. Loved how the planet felt just as much a threat as the tyranids by the end. Gabrielle Nellis-Pains nailed it for the audiobook

Just finished The Mars House by Natasha Pulley and honestly loved it so much. She has a really approachable way of explaining the science behind the world, which made me feel like it was just interesting and not like I was being given a lesson in physics. I loved all the discussion of language too.

I just finished Betrayer by Aaron Dembski-Bowden and oh my god. Lorgar is such a snake. Angron deserved so much better. Erebus feels so slimy and I love how much I hate him.

Reading more of Longshot and still enjoying it a lot. The Tau are definitely a highlight but I am enjoying the squabbling between the cadian soldiers and their mistrust of non cadian replacements.
